So I made some, its spicy but I have the problem with it that I always run into when I try to make my own sauce....its just bland and I don't know how to fix that. I know I could put more vinegar in but that just makes it taste more vinegary and doesn't really change the flavor in any meaningful way.
Did you add enough salt? You can also blend in things with more flavor to your liking. Garlic, herbs, etc. Roasted garlic could add some depth and I'll probably do that next time.
Probably not. I might take it out of the bottles and put it in a mixing bowl and just start adding shit and blend it up. Maybe lime juice?
For anyone that likes Indian, this is super easy and was really good https://twosleevers.com/instant-pot-vegan-indian-rajma-red-kidney-beans/ If anyone is dumb like me and didn't know what garam masala was, you can just buy it premade in a jar at most stores in the spice aisle.
This is marinating in my frig right now and going into the instant pot tomorrow https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/pressure-cooker-char-siu-pork/
I've got some thighs thawing out right now and I think I'm gonna use half for that and half on the smoker. It's so good
I had a small amount of the chili left over...not enough for a dinner. Used it as a pasta sauce and it was really good.
making this tonight. going to add some jumbo lump crab meat after it's done. https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/08/pressure-cooker-corn-soup-recipe.html
Didn’t have access to a blender, our chicken verde ended up pretty soupy. Was really good tho. Used 1.5 extra pounds of chicken, could be a reason why as well.
Wife made this on Sunday. Instant Pot Salmon with Garlic Potatoes and Greens Total: 30 min Active: 15 min Yield: 4 servings Level: Easy Ingredients 1 1/4 pounds small red-skinned potatoes, halved or quartered 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper 4 5- to 6-ounce skin-on center-cut salmon fillets (3/4 to 1 inch thick) 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest, plus wedges for serving 4 cloves garlic, minced 4 cups packed mixed baby spinach and arugula (about 31/2 ounces)
I've made that, think you could probably cook the salmon for a minute less than the 3 minutes they suggest
Anyone else been removing the skin on chicken legs and thighs before searing/locking the lid? It comes out chewy and just gets in the way, anyways. This way my seasoning actually goes onto the chicken to create the fond.
Made this recipe last night and it was really good: https://lifemadesweeter.com/instant-pot-lemon-garlic-chicken/
Last week, when I was determined to make it, the grocery store I stopped by on the way home was out of poblanos. Went ahead and made it with green bell peppers and lots of jalapenos. Wasn't as good as the original, but still mighty tasty.
Don't know if this has been posted before but its super easy and really good. https://twosleevers.com/instant-pot-butter-chicken/
Yes, I swear the recipe page didn't used to look like that. I went to look for it because I've been making it for a while and I wasn't sure it was the right page until I went through and read the actual recipe.
So 2 lbs of chicken (breast or thighs) one jar of salsa shake of taco seasoning two fresh japeleno sliced insta pot on high for 30 minutes. Shred the chicken with forks
Making a chili out of an instant pot cookbook. Doesn’t use pressure cooking. Also says to use cocoa powder, we did without that.
Kohl's has the 8qt for $77 https://slickdeals.net/f/12083031-8...sh-76-50-free-s-h-text-required?src=frontpage Guess I'm joining the club. Wife has been begging for one.
If you like lots of Indian spice the butter chicken I quoted just a few posts up was fantastic. My son told me it even made his farts smell good.
