Yeah man I recommend you do. It’s actually buggier than ever but it’s a much more complete game and imo better than what was first fed to us
I gave for honor a shot and admire what it was going for but I’m just not into hack and slash anymore, even if they try to make it more complex
i have shit wifi at home, but it seems if my xbox is off for awhile it loses it's connections and doesnt download the updates in the background.
I played mine for the first time in almost a week. It wouldn’t pick up any WiFi but a hard reset did the trick.
Picked up No Man’s Sky last night. Just a treat so far. Anyone else going to partake? My GT is the same as my handle here. Bless our PS brethren for thoroughly beta testing this.
I bought it last night after finally beating Subnautica, downloaded it and went to bed, will likely play this weekend.
As I texted Wu this morning, I hope you guys jumping into this are all as good and fucked on your random tutorial planet as I was. I got a real The Martian feel from it in having to science the shit out of it.
Normal. Right off the bat, I think it’s a good mix of making you explore for resources while not overencumbering you with any one task. I don’t want the instant gratification of not needing resources nor do I want permadeath in such a vast game.
Absolutely loved it, would recommend as long as you can get over some frame rate issues and some occasionally grindy quests it’s an amazing base building and exploration game.
Tried to name said blue planet ‘Blue Myself’ and the profanity filter blocked it. Luckily after a couple of tries, ‘Blue Mice Elf’ worked just fine. Threw up a nice little 3x2 wood shed with a roof on it and called it a night.
Damn this is really system heavy but I’m enjoying it. A good balance between not holding your hand and not telling you anything.
Had no man sky on PS4 at release. I know they have drastically updated, but Jesus was the grind real. Game is such a grind
Core gameplay is still the same, combat is really bad imo. Mining resources is still pretty tedious and interface is better but not great. Game is clearly improved but some of its original underlying issues are certainly still there.
So Vigor came out today? Never really heard much about it. Apparently its an open world, survival game kinda like PUBG but its NOT a Battle Royale game. Game was created by the people who made Day-Z and Arma. Link for buy ($20)
I pulled th trigger on it, I love game preview. Games are cheap and they’re hit or miss but I’ve had fun with quite a few. Including playing Ark: Survival Evolved solo, The Culling before they ruined it, and most recently Subnautica which might be one of my favorite games I’ve played for Xbox one. If it sucks I paid a third of the price of a retail game and I’m just not upset. I’d like to pick up We Happy Few but I’ll probably just wait another month or two and buy the retail release.
I pulled the trigger too. Hasnt been horrible. Graphics are gorgeous and love the concept. Will probably hop on again tonight
Well, downloaded vigor, launched, and it never booted up. Uninstalled it and now I’m reinstalling it.
Today is last day to get 1 yr XBL for $39.99. The trick is they want you to subscribe but you can jus go in afterwards and remove it.
Vigor is interesting....and I like the concept. With that having been said, I have a LOT of complaints. GUN PLAY: The gun play is miserable. Aim acceleration and hit boxes are atrocious. Worse than PUBG at its beginning by a long shot. You can win a gun vs knife fight pretty easy.....but just sprinting at someone with a gun. Its that bad. Grade: D- GRAPHICS: Best part of the game. Super immersive and badass. Grade: A INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Meh. Works I guess? Its super annoying having to "search" and "point" at the things to loot unlike PUBG were you can just be in the proximity. Grade: C- CONCEPT: I really like the idea of doing a drop then having a reason to get the loot and get out. Makes for a quick paced "battle royale" style game with a legit purpose. Grade: B+ ONLINE/SERVERS: Haven't had any issues yet but takes like a couple minutes to get into a game. Grade: B Overall, its a Game Preview so I give it a little pass. $20 isn't much. It's probably a C to C+ overall right now.
In case anyone was wondering if that will stack it will. I was already paid through June 2019 but did that and now I'm paid through June 2020. Kinda wondering if you can just keep buying it for $40 and pushing the date out more and more. $40 is as good as the deals get so it's not an awful idea to push it 2 years out if you can.
Not sure about this model but hard to beat this deal And use code XC2MDYCZ to get it for $12 and change
Bought AC: Origins a few days ago. I always thought an antiquity based AC game would be awesome, and they really nailed the open world. I am fucking terrible at the new combat system though.
got these in yesterday. so far so good. they're a little bigger than I was expecting though. won the first game of fortnite i played using them. coincidence? maybe, maybe not
We Happy Few comes out Friday. Is anyone going to get this one? It's been a long time coming, but I think I'm going to hold off until I hear more.
I played the Preview and I was horribly disappointed. Controls were terrible and clunky. Gameplay just dropped you off in a massive world with basically no direction. I'm willing to give it a second chance but I will 100% wait for reviews etc.
That's why they took so long to release it. The preview was so bad, they realized they were nowhere near where they needed to be. Anyone playing No Man's Sky yet?
Yes, I owned it for ps4 when it originally came out and was bored within hours despite it being the kind of game I would usually love. Bought it for Xbox with all of the updates and while the game is prettier and there’s some additional things to do, the core gameplay is still just coma inducing, combat is really just shy of atrocious. Would not recommend personally.
If you loved NES/Sega Metriod /Castlevania type games check out Dead Cells it came out last night. I'm loving it
$20-25 it is a always changing game. You spawn in with a dull blade. Pick up either a bow or weak shield. You fight through the level collecting blue cells while picking up scrolls that upgrade you and weapons and weapon blueprints. You can only have 2 weapons/shields at a time. If you beat the level you can spend the cells for permanent upgrades or unlock more weapons to drop as well as you pick one mutator to go with upgrade scrolls. If you die you lose everything and start back at square one unless you've unlocked permanent upgrades such as a health vial, gold bag ECT. Once you die the level is completely different from layout to new enemies. You also can find permanent skills like vines to access even more of the level. It has a punishing difficulty but has yet to seem unfair if I die I've deserved it.
