Advantages of a CT over traditional x-ray... Better at looking at soft tissues as they can distinguish between structures with close, but slightly different, densities. Additioanlly you avoid the problem of superimposition (on X-rays for example beginning docs will often order a 1-view Chest X-ray and can miss a pneumonia hiding behind the mediastinum, as a result of the superimposition). Lastly you can view structures in multiple planes. All that said if I had to money on it they are worried about a stress fracture.
It's the next morning, and I'm still mad as shit. Fuck Jose Urena, fuck Don Mattingly, fuck Keith Hernandez, and fuck whoever tagged dbl last night.
Woke up kinda early, decided to check the thread for any updates on Acuña's condition only to be met with three fucking pages of dbl talking about two seamers
We should talk to the Nats on Daniel Murphy. Shouldn't cost much at this point and he'd be depth and first/second/third.
I agree with this. Could even play some games with Ozzie at short and Murph at second. At worst he'd be a legitimate lefty bat off the bench.

I'm now hoping that Urena doesn't get suspended and the next time he pitches, Flaherty does this before the first pitch.
it doesn’t matter what type of pitch it was. Everyone who has seen it can tell it was intentional. It’s not really even up for debate.
DBL has just tried to change the argument to distract from coming in here like an idiot and saying a pitch that started at his ribs and would’ve hit him square in the back if he stuck his arm out wasn’t intentional.
You must have missed the part where the argument completely devolved into dbl claiming he never argued the intent of the pitch, despite his multiple posts saying he thought it appeared unintentional.
I gotta say I haven’t felt so incensed over a baseball game since the infield fly rule game. Last night was quite emotional. Felt more like a football game in that sense.
I missed those parts because I scrolled past that bulldog avatar of his and everyone that responded to his stupid shit.
Urena threw at him on purpose, and it was pure chicken shit. He will get his soon enough, as hinted by team leader Freddie Freeman in his postgame comments. I read about half of one post on the type of fastball thrown and ignored the rest.
Let’s not forget that Mattingly already got suspended this year for throwing at Longoria (broken hand) and Posey.
i know he has to stick up for his guy but his postgame interview was pathetic. avoiding eye contact and just rambling on about nothing. even brought up "but what about stanton?!?!?" i guess i can see why dbl worships the guy. obfuscates and whines about both sides being mean. reminds me of someone
Urena will get his next year. Do these scores sometimes get settled in spring training? I imagine this will get settled asap but don't think it does this season given our playoff push.
Thought the same thing last night. The Marlins and Giants had a nasty little spat over both of their series this year. That went back and forth over several games.
I kind of hope they just leave it alone and let the media take care of it. The dumb unwritten rules need to go.
Hitting someone for showboating "too much" on a HR is a dumb unwritten rule. Retaliating against a pitcher for something like last night is justice for lack of a better word. I want blood!
But it just keeps the same bullshit cycle going. At some point, MLB needs to get all beanballs, no matter the motive, out of the game. It does no one any good.
It’s only necessary because of the unwritten rules. I don’t want to act like pegging a shitbird who should be in the minors on a team under .500 makes things even.
very good article from jeff passan https://sports.yahoo.com/jose-urena...injury-call-longer-suspensions-053506149.html
How is Fox Sports South so incompetent at hiring smart and interesting broadcasters and analysts? Listening to Joe and then that marble mouth Brian Jordan almost made me angrier than Acuña getting hit. Frenchy is lovable but he’s a window licker.
It’s sort of like the NFL suspending guys for helmet leading hits. They might not have had intent but if you can hurt the guy then you have to pay. If you constantly pitch inside and hit guys then you also need to pay, no matter the intent
I would encourage JT to retaliate. Maybe someone will fight him and he may sustain an injury that lands him on the 60 day DL.
