Watched them at the Rockies game last night and bandimere speedway tonight. The Capitol building also has a great show.
Pitkin Lake near Vail. Although getting that shot requires a steep ascent off the maintained trail to get to the ridge line
Really haven’t listened to Pretty Lights in 4-5 years but she’s never seen him or been to RR. He used to put on a good show and I love people watching some wookies I think it’ll be a fun night
Anyone ever tried the 6mi trail the day of a show? is that too ambitious or is it worth it to go a few hours ahead of time to do that one instead of the short 1.5mi one? Gonna have a rental car through sunday now and not planning on getting drunk during the show probably just eat some good edibles or something. So we'll definitely be going during the afternoon to hike one of them and take in the scene 47 straight 's boy getting us tickets to the rockies game friday then going out DT probably. Would make Thursday night the one for eating cunty dinner. Have previous iphone note saying Linger, Acorn, Ophelias, Hop Ally, Euclid Hall on the nice dinner list. Any others to add?
I'm back this weekend through Monday to interview for what is my dream job at this point in my career. If I get it, I'm never leaving again.
My house value is sky rocketing. However, I went to Brainard Lake Rec Area this morning to hike. Got there just after 6am. Four cars paying in front of me at the fee station and the TH parking lot I was aiming for was already 1/2 full. Upon leaving at 11:30 there were at least 50 cars lined up at the fee station waiting to get in with another 30+ parked on the sides of the road. When I first moved here you could roll up by 8am and not have a problem with parking. Fuck all these plebs who come to hike in their reeboks, flat bill hats, and plastic water bottles clogging up nature
fattmante watched me build up the courage to pull the trigger on a ridiculously overpriced house a few weeks ago during the middle of a round of golf. Had to terminate the offer after the civil engineer who inspected the house said it was the worst foundation he’s ever seen on a house. Shit sucks. Sucks cause I had just come around to accepting the financial side of it.
Told a buddy of mine I’ve had a rough few months of work and need a break, and he was in the same boat. Next thing I know we’re booking flights to meet in Denver for a little pot tourism. I’ll be getting in on a Friday night (8/10) and leaving Monday night (8/13). Never been to Denver; what are the must see/must do things to hit up while I’m there? Not sure where I’m staying yet. I’ll go back and read this thread but would appreciate any recs, including if there are any concerts or festivals I should be aware of that weekend.
g/f has a birthday coming up next week. her parents will be in town. We live in lohi. Looking for a nice restaurant that is consistent and has great ambiance for the parents. Nothing crazy, somewhere where the plates are $15-25. Was considering Trattoria Stella but I am open minded to any form of cuisine or place.
Thanks. Gonna do Sputino Not to pivot too fast, but where do you guys get a good sandwich under 10 bucks. I love Curtis street deli but everything else I’ve found is like 12 to 13 bucks. Makes me miss my Mitchell’s and clawsons in Nashville
Sputino is two blocks from where I live. Eaten there a dozen times and have never left unhappy. Spectacular spot
Not talking shit on Lohi really. Great restaurants, very walkable, easy access to downtown. I live in Jefferson Park so I'm over there a lot.
I bought my place in LoHi in 2012. Prices were good. Looked elsewhere and couldn’t find anything worthwhile. Worked out, as it’s a pretty good rental now.
Wife and I’s first anniversary is in October. Thinking of doing a weekend getaway somewhere in the mountains. Any ideas? Heard good things about Pagosa and Hot Sulphur Springs but that’s it.
Ouray and the surrounding area. Can't recommend it enough. Has renovated hot springs, some water fall hikes, good restaurants. Love that place.
Hey guys, read through the last few pages or so, any good restaurant ideas for a group of 11 on a bachelor party late September? Much thanks
Casa Bonita out on Colfax. Reserve the top party room. Hire a few strippers to eat with ya'll. Pour green chili on their titties.
Heading to Denver from Saturday through Tuesday and then driving to The Broadmoor for a conference. Any restaurant recommendations staying downtown at Teatro. Wife is vegatarian, but not picky and happy and most any restaurants as long as there are a couple options. Open to any suggestions. Only real complications is need a rental car, but don’t need it until Monday, but need to return to airport. Just have to figure that out on the fly.
Sputnik has vegan food options for all their normal food, which is pretty dang good. Its also in a really cool neighborhood for tourists to visit, imo. South Broadway is kinda kitschy, and has good people watching.
Does anyone in Denver know a CPA familiar with the tax treatment of the issues that arise in the cannabis industry? I'm a tax attorney based in New Orleans and we have a client opening a dispensary but have not been able to find any CPAs familiar with the relevant issues. Would appreciate anyone who could refer me to a competent CPA preferably at a large accounting firm. Looking to setup a phone call for next week. Willing to pay the CPA for his or her time. Please DM me if you can help out. TIA Marty Kaan
