Heading up this afternoon for a couple nights. Going to try and hit all new places for food and beer. Gan Shan and Blue Dream are on the list...still a bunch of breweries I haven't hit yet.
anyone know of a work to live type job/venue and/or just a spot a hippy could make some money at? Know a guy moving there clueless.
i've only eaten at the village wayside in that area. all the different taps at pour are pretty cool albeit a chain place
At French broad river brewery right now. Small place but beer is delicious. Also there’s people gathering at all the seats around me for what seems to be a meeting. I’m not moving.
does anyone know of any good places for saturday morning epl pete's was the place but they've been closed for a while and the soccer offerings here are just trash
Anyone have recs on the Biltmore? You can do the self-guiding tour for a set price but then there are a bunch of other tours you can do for an additional price. Just wondering if anyone has experience or if any of the other tours are worth doing
What Charlotte tends to lack in food/culture is easily made up by access to Asheville. Honestly I consider it a suburb of CLT at this point. And there are many other cities you can get to easily ... City to city though Minny > Charlotte
This doesn't really answer your question, but one thing we found out about too late to do is that there is a standup paddleboard tour that goes around the Biltmore. It looked pretty nice
After spending two (2) hours here I have thought a new thread title: Official Asheville thread- bras optional
Spending a week in Asheville for our honeymoon next month. I've jotted down a bunch of the restaurant recs in here. Fiancé and I are into hiking/outdoors. We're doing a full day of guided fly fishing and looking for some solid day hikes, as well. We're thinking: Max Patch, Roan Mountain, and Lover's Leap. Any other suggestions? While I'm here, is cost of Biltmore worth it? Any other suggestions welcome.
I feel like two people on their honeymoon for a week in Asheville is the perfect scenario for the Biltmore, but maybe that's just me.
They're called Pisgah Outdoors. The dude Heath gets awesome reviews and seemed to be in the same ballpark cost-wise as everyone else.
Hello friends, Mrs. Scorpio and I are wanting to visit your town the week after Christmas. We're bringing our offspring (5 & 3) as well. We're wanting to AirBnB it in a cabin/cottage, but not really sure what areas are good vs. what to avoid. Any guidance or even a specific property recommendation would be appreciated.
Stayed here a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It has a pretty steep driveway, so my hot weather ass wouldn't know if that would be a problem in winter. https://www.vrbo.com/865183
Going with my girlfriend next weekend. Planning to hike, kayak, drink beer, and eat god food. So excited.
