Had a leaf blower and weed eater stolen yesterday. Guy was ballsy as fuck as it was 3pm and I was in my backyard. Walked around front to get something and saw him. He jumped in his car and took off. That said, does anyone have a home security company they use and like?

I've only used ADT. Never had any issues or complaints but there could be better options

other than opening game, star wars night and most of the firework nights this is by far the best attended game of the year. some of the cars they give away aren't that bad. most are lousy.

Havent read the thread but was in chattanooga last month and ruby falls is one of the most incredible things I've seen in a long time which has probably been said in this thread at least I hope. You go down in an elevator about 1,000 feet and then walk about a mile through a cave to reach the falls and then it's so beautiful. They've equipped it with LED lights

Passed State of Confusion this weekend and it was mobbed. Thought about going in but we had already decided to skip Main St Meats because it was a 45 minute wait and didn’t want to strike out at a second place. Ate at Slicks. It was ok.

If yall are on Main St check out my friends meat/cheese shop down from the fire station. Bleu Fox Cheese Shop. They make great sandwiches and have a ton of awesome stuff.
Not a fan of the group that has State of Confusion but will give it a shot in a couple of months. Heard from a bartender at Tremont yesterday the Parkway has the best dry rub wings she has ever had. Will be going there sooner than later.

Thought the lights were cheesey as fuck, but it is a really cool experience (and a great break from the unbearable summer heat.)

Agree on this. It's actually pretty fun, though I've not been in a long time. Back when the Lookouts played at Engel Stadium, my brother-in-law was there with some of his friends getting shitfaced. He won a silver Pontiac Grand Prix. He had to get a girl in their group to drive it home for him. He sold it a week or 2 later for around $1,500-2,000.

Didn't get a chance to go. We dropped the ball on the reservation notice.

I'll post a weekend recap when I get a chance.

However, why did the Revelry Room and Track 29 close?

I'm looking to see a concert when I use another one of the free hotel nights I have.

Went to State of Confusion for a couple of beers yesterday. Prices were pretty reasonable. Friend of mine had a pretty tasty Mule. Saw some people eating the ceviche and it looked incredible, but didn't partake myself.

Have yet to hit Pourhouse but I've heard great things about the food from a few people that hit the soft opening last week.

Track 29 was supposed to move to the theater behind the CARTA garage at the Choo Choo, but renovation costs got to be too much, and the Signal had announced it was opening, so they just gave up.

Similarly, Revelry just wasn't as profitable as they wanted and the Kinseys don't know dick about how to run a music venue. Spent too long trying to open Hush Lounge, owed people money, and generally were ineffective owners. Now that Songbirds has taken over the place is much better. They actually invested in improving the acoustics and a better sound system

:beerchug: I moved to Signal last summer. We've been enjoying the beer selection at Mayfly, and El Metate has a good happy hour. I drove down Taft hwy toward sequatchie a few weeks ago, and it looked like they were building a new spot with a great looking outside area. I'd also never heard of Rallos until a few days ago but a buddy says it's decent. Pleaeantly surpirsed by all this since I didn't think there were any drinking establishments when I moved.

Nice... We are at Metate at least once a week. It and the golf course are the only two places to get a liquor drink on the mtn. Chuck (the owner of Pruetts) bought the old Taco Bell and is allegedly doing something there. I’ve not been to Mayfly since they started serving beer. Heard the same re: Rallos. The place they’re building out Taft is another Mexican joint, if I recall correctly. They’ve been working on it forever.

Outside of a couple places that have been around for a little while now, restaurant business is fickle up here.

I like it though. My wife is from up here. I grew up on Big Ridge in Hixson.

How much are VIP and what all does it include? I honestly forgot. I’ve got a wife who’s 7 mos pregnant and might entertain purchasing.

We’ve got 4 of the mid tier priced tickets and I’m fairly certain we will be selling at least 2 of them.

Nah, I don’t love the course tbh. Back 9 is pretty bad. Front is playable. I do play with Spangler periodically. He moved up here. They essentially told him he couldn’t play in some of their games anymore cause he’s won everything. I think he’s got about a couple months worth of dues in pro shop credit.

I played it about a month ago for the first time ever and completely agree. First course that fits my eye and game yet I couldn't care less if I played it again (I'm playing some 1 day member/guest late September). I can't imagine how good he is up there. Literally the perfect golf course for his strengths

Small world. I grew up on Signal. Moved off in 2004 because there was no high school yet. I went to Red Bank. My wife grew up in Hixson and went to CCS. We live in Hixson now. I usually go up the mountain once a year now or so just to drive or hike. My parents bought a house up there in 1987 so my brother and I could go to school. Probably the best investment they ever made. Even in 2004 they got almost 3 times as much out of that house which was built in the early 80s.

Nowadays the mountain is almost unrecognizable to me. The only school I attended while up there that is still open is Thrasher, which was 3-5 back then. The middle school was still near Pruett’s and K-2 was either Signal Mountain Elementary if you lived in Palisades, Old Town, or Hidden Harbor/Timberlinks/SMGCC area or Bachman if you lived North of basically where James Boulevard meets Taft at the top of the W Road up to Corral Road. Bachman closed down in the late 90s I believe along with SME after Thrasher added on.

Good memories and good times. Don’t miss that drive every day to high school though.

Volholic16 and Dildo Dawgins how is the drive up to Signal in the winter? That windy, steep road seems like it would be dangerous as fuck if not closed down for weeks at a time.

Did it on Christmas Eve this year. I’m sure when it snows it’s tough but normal day it’s fine

Speaking of we had one snow day when I was in high school. Now it seems like once a month they are out for 2+ days

Well the drive now sucks in general because it's one lane due to construction. On the first day i was stuck all the way to shufords, but it's actually gotten a lot better. It'll add at least 5 minute to commute though but will hopefully be done soon.

As far as during bad weather the main route is usually fine. A guy i work with said they keep it in tip top shape during winter and are extra precautious. Wife and I can work from home alot so when weather was bad a few times this year I just stayed home, but most people I know had no real issue getting down and back up.

I've got 2 extra GA tickets to Moon River this weekend if anyone is looking or knows someone looking. $277.32 total is what we paid for them.

Think we're actually going to duck out of the festival Saturday and go see Aziz at the Tivoli, assuming there are still decent tickets available.
