Why does that make you sad? You suddenly have a problem with random people being cunts on the internet?
Seriously when is 2018 going to end? Literally every famous person has died and I’m not even exaggerating.
I guess people were shitting on his album, and Mac made the observation that if he died, the same people would be celebrating him.
astroworld is an album by travis scott that was released to wide acclaim. mac’s album came out the same day and everyone clowned on him for being irrelevant/trash.
he is in multiple episodes of the hbo smash hit “ballers” starring dwayne “the rock” johnson so you know he’s gotta be a cool guy
On an unrelated note, I guess Lupe Fiasco called out Eminem. I have to admit I don't care for his new stuff, but Food & Liquor and The Cool are a couple of my favorite albums ever. And Mural is possibly the greatest rap song ever.
Assuming this is a serious post, you’re welcome. I’ve watched it 10 times and it’s awesome every time
Self Care has been getting a ton of play from me lately. Kinda eerie that he’s in a coffin for most of that music video. Way too young. Unfortunate to say the least.
he was fighting depression. talking about death is pretty common for ppl with negative thoughts like that.
If I interpret what he is saying correctly, he's asking heroin dealers not to use fentanyl in their product bc it might accidentally kill him at an age where other famous people have died. I know about depression and I've seen what it does and how it can end in tragedy. I don't know who Mack Miller is but I know its damaging to everyone when you don't call out absolute horseshit like that. I'm sorry he killed himself but thats exactly what he did, lets not act like fentanyl is responsible here.
I guess I'm not sure what you're exactly mad about. Just his open drug abuse? His recklessness? He clearly lived with no regard for his health and now he is dead. He used drugs because he was an addict. Not sure we need to be mad at him
Didn’t know he’d released anything after Lasers bombed. I loved those two albums, too...but beefing with Em would be bad for him.
Haha I was a Mac fan, so that's how I ended up in here. Completely missed the Burt thread/news on this side of the globe.
When I saw that he died I was like damn that funny kid that was on Ridiculousness a couple times died. Never heard any of his music though. I’m
Thanks for posting this. Came into the thread never having heard of him or his music, despite the claims that everyone should know him from a national tv ad, of which I had never seen as well. All the prior videos/songs posted in the thread, did not care for his stuff at all. This Tiny Desk set is pretty amazing though. If that is indicative of the direction his sound was heading, I now feel as if I have been robbed of some really good music in the future. Not as bad as drugs/depression robbing a young life. So I am not the real loser here.
This is a really good post. Thanks for the well thought out response rather than trying to be edgy and getting 5-8 likes. Ur the man Mac Miller was the man. This sucks
Irrelavancy isn’t 10-15 million plays on Spotify on his newest album in a month I checked that right after it was pronounced he was dead, so those numbers weren’t skewed Dude was dope af
Honestly if you listen to the first song in that album the lyrics hint him having issues with depression and suicide.
I never really checked too seriously for the music, but damn near everyone I give a fuck about in the industry seems to be very much mourning what in their eyes is a significant loss, which gives me pause.
