By the time it got close to leave for the theater, no theaters within 15 miles had a showing available for MoviePass. This is some bullshit. Going to try again Thursday night. If we have a problem, we are going to cancel.
Moviepass lifehack. In the morning all showings are available to check into. So since I go into work at 630 I just popped over to the theater, checked into MI, and bought ticket at kiosk. Going tonight at 7:05.
I was just coming here to ask that, thank you sir. The two regals I go to have a bunch of showings for mile 22 today so if that’s the case tomorrow, then I may see a double feature of crazy rich Asians and the meg tomorrow night
Yeah the nice Regal a few miles away only has inside kiosks so think I'm fucked there unfortunately. They have way more movies and full recliners.
You serious Clark? Thought it was mediocre at best and the ending was pretty weird. Seemed to imply that Trump is literally in the KKK but whatever. Saw crazy rich Asians last night - great date night movie. I was expecting slightly better based off the reviews but it’s a good rom-com so the gf loved it.
The ending of BlacKKKlansman hits you like a ton of bricks I loved every second of Crazy Rich Asians and will go to the sequel and third movie when they come out
So today they've made it where I can't see any matinee shows around me. All evenings. Doesn't seem smart.
I thought so, too, but i had to do it last night, in addition to last thursday. Makes me wonder when the new 3-movie limit will start, too, as well as if it's 3-movies during the 30-day period from your billing date or if it starts over on the 1st of each month. I'm sure they'll just make things up as they go along. Regardless, there's not much coming out over the next few weeks that i'm all that excited about, but still seriously considering joining the AMC club in October.
Wife and I went to go see Crazy Rich Asians today - really enjoyed it. Movie Pass didn't have any movies available for us at local theater - and we went to the 1:30 showing. I'm fed up with paying for the subscription and not being able to use it. Going to cancel this month.
Hi Wu, We want to thank you for being a loyal member of our annual MoviePass plan. Your commitment to MoviePass has contributed to making our vision for an accessible and affordable moviegoing experience a reality. After experimenting with different models and options, we believe that our current monthly plan captures the need of our community — keeping prices low while continually striving to offer a wider selection of films. As of today, aligned with Section 2.4 of our Terms of Use, your annual subscription plan will now allow you to see 3 movies a month instead of the previous unlimited offering, and you'll receive up to a $5.00 discount on any additional movie tickets purchased. This is the current standard plan now in effect for all current and new subscribers. Unless you choose to cancel your subscription prematurely, your plan will continue within these guidelines through the end of your annnual contract. Additionally, in making these adjustments to our annual plans, we intend to expand our offering of blockbuster and independent films so you can discover a wider variety of movies. If this new plan no longer aligns with your viewing preferences, we completely understand and would be happy to offer you a refund for the remainder of your annual subscription. If you choose to cancel, please make sure to press the cancelation button below. By doing so you will receive a prorated refund and your annual subscription will be canceled. Cancelation will also prevent you from signing up for MoviePass again for the next 9 months. Please note that you have until 8/31/2018 to complete this process. If you choose to remain a MoviePass member under this new plan, you don't need to take any further action. Note that there will be NO additional charge for the remaining time of your annual subscription (except for additional movie tickets purchased beyond your 3 per month allotment). The new plan's movie allotment for this month works as follows: because you began your annual subscription on August 2, any movie you saw on or past August 2 will count toward this month's allotment of movies. If you have already used your 3 movies for this month, you will still be allowed to purchase additional movies at a discount. Your new plan will allow you to: See both Blockbuster & Independent films Choose from a rotating selection of films daily, accessible via our online schedule Buy additional tickets with discounts of up to $5 (discounts will vary depending on your location and movie title selection) Watch at 91% of movie theaters in the U.S. Get invites to special events and screenings We hope you choose to stay part of our MoviePass community as we revolutionize the moviegoing industry together. Thank you for your continued support, The MoviePass Team
Now half of them are gone. This is the shit that's annoying. They make the stupid thing impossible to use because you never know when its going to change.
They sent me another email yesterday reminding me to cancel to get my refund. I feel like they want me to cancel at this point so I think I'm gonna do the opposite and see where this thing goes.
I really want this email ASAP so I can get some money back. But of course I am sure I will only get it with less than a month before my renewal and they will offer me some change back.
Got the cancel email yesterday They’re probably mad I didn’t because I got an email ad from them about HappyTime Murders From my cold, dead hands you barbarians
Just made my reservation to see both Searching at 10:30 AM and then Operation Finale at 1:35 for tomorrow.
Also, cannot wait for this. Supposedly the battle scenes are even better than braveheart and Chris Pine hangs dong
Was actually able to use movie pass for the first time in like a month last week. Went to see searching which I liked up until they went with the super happy ending.
Ended up seeing 3 movies last Sunday. Searching, Operation Finale and The Nun. Also saw Crazy Rich Asians and The Predator this week.
I'm glad someone's still taking advantage. Bc of work and just being fed up with the service, I don't think I've seen a movie in over a month
I actually have the AMC service now but I hadn't used it but maybe one time since I cancelled moviepass last month. Had to get my money's worth in over the past week. Will probably go see White Boy Rick tomorrow.
Ended up seeing White Boy Rick yesterday afternoon and A Simple Favor today. White Boy Rick was lacking something but A Simple Favor was a lot better than I expected.
Decided to reup after sitting out for a couple months. Apparently they still expect you to take a picture of your ticket?
Yeah I still have to take a picture, which I thought they were getting rid of. Went to my first moviepass movie on Tuesday. Had there full lineup of movies available, which was nice. I'll see more as the work schedule dies down and the gf has more free time, but I'm cancelling when my annual subscription is up in November or December
Loved A Simple Favor next up this week: A Star is Born with the QUEEEEEEEEN and then The Hate U Give which is getting great reviews and will make me uncomfortable like the ending of BlackKklansman
just saw A Simple Favor. Good moviepass movie. anyone in here run into moviepass re-enrolling you? how the fuck is that legal? https://gizmodo.com/moviepass-is-now-re-enrolling-former-customers-in-an-un-1829423850
