You could do a lot worse than hillwood / west Meade but it is likely $$$$ depending on what you are looking for. Most lots are near 1 acre. We lived there for over 5 years but moved last summer.
Buddy is coming in from Philly this weekend and we want to watch the Liverpool match Saturday morning at a bar before real football all day. Need some recs (match starts at 6:30 so not sure if anyone is even going to be open) thanks fam
Germantown Depot just hung up a sign for some soccer team. I *think* it’s Liverpool but I could be completely wrong
Fleet Street would be a good place to start. I think it’s run by an Arsenal supporter but they’ll have the game on. I’ve been in Nashville for a couple of years and still haven’t heard of a “Liverpool” bar that isn’t in the suburbs.
Yeah, Double Dogs May be a little closer to the stadium and they have a billion TVs but I don’t like the vibe but a good back up option
Double Dogs had an outrageous line. Settled on Kay Bobs to eat. I know everyone is on the edge of their seats.
Camped and kayaked the Piney this weekend and easily preferred that place over the Harpeth or Duck. Is there anywhere else worth checking out? I'm used to floating my ass in a rubber tube back home, but I guess that isn't a thing here?
Is Cafe Nonna good enough for my mom's birthday dinner? She has basically said she only wants italian. It doesn't need to be crazy expensive or fancy just don't want to go to a hole in the wall. My brother and I are both commuting from different states so want to eat somewhere good.
I'm hitting up Germantown Pub for lunch tomorrow for the Nashville Hot Catfish tacos. Will review here.
Went to Germantown pub for the Liverpool match thanks to yalls rec and it was rowdy AF at 630am... had $3 Founder pints and breakfast ....will def go back
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Food is outstanding, atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, service is great, and it’s very reasonably priced.
coming in this week, gotta eat at sweet 16th and prince's/pepperfire gotta drink at Duke's and Centennial
coming in for a few nights in early october just to beat around for a few days, do touristy shit and eat/drink where do I stay, hotel prices are quite high, will pay if worth it for location/walkability do I need a rental car or just uber sufficient?
Not a fan of Germantown Pub. Love Neighbors in Germantown though. The talent there last Saturday during the Ole Miss game was A/A+
Yea not a fan of the pub, minus the incredibly hot blonde waitress. Liking this late night addition of Von Elrods, Neighbors and Germantown Depot. Gonna hit up Mop & Broom tonight. Looks like they kept some of the Kuchnia staff.
I arrive a week from today at 7 am with the wife whose never been to Nashville. We have an entire day to do whatever, only backstop is dinner. Who can plan my day?
Staying at Westin, part of town doesn't really matter to me. If I had to pick some touristy stuff, I'd tour Ryman (have seen a bunch of shows there but haven't toured nonshow) and Hatch Show print. Other than better ideas than that looking for brunch/lunch and day drinking bar ideas. We like to get drunk and have a good time
Anyone posted anything about this? I haven’t really kept up with the thread http://theeastnashvillian.com/blog/...tuff-from-ellie-holcomb-and-carl-broemel-more
Vandy prolly gonna beat my Cocks. Ok, for real, who can give a Nashville Friday agenda starting @ 8 amish?
Breakfast - TBA This opens at 9 AM -Outlaws and Armadillos : Country and the Roaring 70s https://countrymusichalloffame.org/exhibits/exhibitdetail/outlaws There's a start.
