So where do you hide Tiger in singles tomorrow? Has to be mid to late in the lineup. JT and Jordan have to be early to put red on the board
Think tomorrow has to be: Spieth JT Rickie Webb (who am I?) Finau Koepka DJ Reed Tiger Bubba Phil Bryson I'm guessing their 1-3 will be any order of Rory, Fleetwood, and Molinari so I suppose I could handle seeing Reed in the 3 spot to sacrifice him or force him to pull it together. This is brutal
Yea I'm with you...want Reed up front somewhere. I think Rory going first is almost guaranteed so part of me wants to throw Tiger in there and see if he can get in his head.
I have lots of thoughts but will just limit it to two. 1. Golf is hard and such a mental game. Hard to blame any player for playing poorly cause....it's fucking hard! 2. I never thought two of my favorite professional athletes/golfers would be a Longhorn and a Bama guy but here we are. Those two are just fucking thoroughbreds.
Yeah I'm thinking he leads it off again. Could be worth it to trot Tiger out there first, let him be the alpha that he is and let JT and Spieth watch him thump Rory
Probably wont matter but you gotta put Tiger last. Not because he's played well but if there is anyone used to being in a final group and dealing with insane pressure (again if it comes down to it) it's him. Otherwise you're right in that you have to front load to try and get momentum going with guys who have played well the whole time. Short list but that's Spieth, Rickie, JT, Finau
I think you guys are crazy but Furyk probably is too. Reed has no clue how to find a fairway right now. Put him out front with a crowd thats riding him hard and he'll lose 8&7. You gotta bury him in the last several groups and hope that the US has so much momentum by the time he gets started that it helps him get confidence.
I meant Rory leading off. I have Reed late in my lineup, just think there's slight merit to throwing him out early
Rory-JT is FANTASTIC for an opening match. Feel like they'll both shoot like 62 and it'll be a instant classic match or they'll both miss almost every fairway just bombing it fucking everywhere, both shoot 80 and it'll be an instant classic. Rahm-Tiger is super interesting. I really think/hope Tiger brings it tomorrow. Would be cool to see him educate the next Euro legend...which Rahm will probably be. Rickie gonna beat some Spanish pussy tomorrow
18 of us taking a golf trip to Scottsdale in 3 weeks. Playing troon, gray hawk and the course at talking stick
Played Talking Stick Friday during the Waste Management this year. Cool course. Collectively, drunkest group (of 8) I have ever been a part of. Spent 500 with the cart girl (look for Teetee) on the back 9 and had guys who couldn’t stand up by the time we finished. The guy whose card it on didn’t remember and when reviewing his cc statement called the course to ask what the hell happened. The VM he got from the pro shop was hysterical. “Uhhh sir, you ordered 26 transfusions, 12 shots of tequila, 8 bud lights, and 12 shots of fireball, and uhh that all totaled up to 500, so uhhh give me a call back if you have any questions” Rolled into the casino blackout and won 1,000 bucks playing blackjack before I even looked at how many chips I had. Had the sense to walk out. Good times
Do you remember what your green fees were that week? I'm headed to the WM next year and looking to play
The number 150 sticks out in my head but might have been 180. Somewhere in there. Was the only course we played.
Looking over the scorecard of the course I’m at this week, from the back tees here’s some of the highlights. 1 600 yard par 5 3 268 par 3 5 643 par 5 8 514 par 4 10 532 par 4 12 608 par 5 17 253 par 3 18 682 par 5 7827 total 78.6/148
What kind of tournaments does the place hold? Unless the answer is majors/tour events, that’s retarded.
Would love to play a course like this as long as its a fun group to gamble with and the conditions were right.
Heading to the golf resort below for the next 2 days. Similar to the other highly rated courses in Nebraska this one is also out in the middle of absolutely no where which is part of why it's so great. Opened just 8 years ago and both 18's are already rated in the Top 100. https://theprairieclub.com/ Spoiler Dunes Course Spoiler Pines Course
