Relevant. Just spent some time at a local dog rescue because we’re considering fostering. BrickTamland: Have any dogs that really need to get out of here as good foster candidates? Shelter Lady: Let me introduce you to Marlo. https://lifelineanimal.org/adoption...Dog&breed=all&age=all&size=all&sex=all&page=1 I mean... it’s a sign, right?
Fiancée hates the name. I replied, “his name is his name.” She was puzzled. So I proposed “Avon Barkstail.”
probably between Bubbles and Tyrion for my favorite side character in any TV show. It's a long ways off but I already know the end of season 4 is gonna fuck me up. real testament to the writing and acting on his part to get you so emotionally invested in an addict like he did with that show. don't think i've pulled for anybody to "win" as much in television as Bubs. the Sherrod speech in S5
Still can’t watch the scenes where Ziggy is the centerpiece. Straight up fast forward through them. Only scenes of his I watch are with the Greek. Pretty sure I did this last time I rewatched 4-5 years ago. And you know what... fast forwarding his scenes doesn’t take a single thing away from the season. It’s just as good or better. Still get the whole story with the docks and sebatka beef. Ziggy talking out his ass about drugs and game and ducks adds zero to the story. Fight me
I will not fight you as I feel he is the anti-Sabotka. I read an article a while back about how HBO dramas tend to recycle characters, be it intentional or otherwise. The one that resonated the most with me was Ziggy (Wire) and E.B. (Deadwood). I’m finishing up my rewatch of Deadwood and had forgotten what a complete fuckstick EB was. I’ll see if I can find the link.
This is the article about the actual actors but there was an offshoot piece about character types that I’m still looking for https://grantland.com/features/the-hbo-recycling-program/
watched 3 episodes with Ziggy actually having dialogue - greeks store, landsing in the box, dad in the box. Convinced this is the correct way to do Season 2 on rewatching.
Whenever I do a rewatch S4E1 opening is up there amongst my favorites. The hardware store employee plays it to perfection.
"You earnt that bump like a muthafucka" is one of my favorite lines to drop with friends if I let them keep a trivial amount of change
snoop and chris, and eventually adding michael = some of the best dialogue in the entire show youngin on some different opinion shit right now
any ever notice the actor that played Carver playing the doctor on the Truvada commercial? it comes on Viceland all the time.
