Bingo. It's the best I've used for exotics. http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Conditioner-Bick-Bickmore-since/dp/B002HOK50M

I've worn versions of all of those and they're all comfortable as you can get for the money. The Justins are some of my favorite, but that sole got a little slick after heavy use and you might bust your ass getting out of the combine on a dewey evening.
Long Ball Larry you're going to love those Lucchese's. So damn comfortable and look good with just about anything
So apparently my boots are no longer waterproof. They absorbed all the salt on the streets in NYC this weekend and got bleached or some shit. Dropped them off at the shoe repair place to have that fixed, but what, if anything do you guys use for waterproofing? Sno-seal looks interesting, anyone have experience with this?
Anyone familiar with Tecovas? Relatively new company with a similar business model to Bonobos, Warby Parker, etc. Boots are apparently made in Leon, Mexico and then sold only online. I've seen their ads a bunch lately. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on some ostrich skins but was curious to see if anyone else had any experience with them. https://www.tecovasboots.com/collections/shop-boots
I need a new pair of boots. These are on sale $89.99 http://m.basspro.com/Merrell-Trailwik-Mid-Waterproof-Hiking-Boots-for-Men/product/14031509414529/ I have worn a pair of Chippewa lace up for 10+ years. Looking for something semi active but sturdy. Activities include camping, working around the farm, Bonnaroo, shit like that
I need to replace my old lace up Chippewas. They are similar to this. Any recommendations to a similar boot. I loved my Chippewas but am not married to the brand.
Totally different type of boot, but I just got some Ariat rubber sole boots that are unbelievably comfortable. I just wear leather soles through too quickly. I think these were $125 or setting and worth every penny.
Just kop'd this boot https://www.chippewaboots.com/footwear/footwear/outdoor/shop-all-outdoor-boots/29416 Technically they are factory defect because of that spot on the leather. $100 out the door.
Looking for some cowboy boots but ones I can wear going out casually or just around the yard. What's comfortable and stylish enough to do both? Ariat or Justin seem like they are favs, probably looking to stay in the $200 range.
This is good advice if you can find them for the price. Last couple pairs of Ariats I've had felt better new than they did once broke in. Started curling into my ankle above the heel at the seam and giving me blisters to the point I had to put on my gator Luccheses just to practice roping so my feet wouldn't hurt. edit* I had those ones above that cdaysker posted and they didn't last as long as some, they were comfortable the entire time and I like their look.
Don’t forget the matching jacket https://upscalemenswear.com/shop-by...-lamb-skin-blazer-jacket-ch081612-p-9032.html
When you say last long, I assume they didn't last long for you as you are an everyday wearer? For the casual wearer, they would be pretty good I assume?
Depending on where you live and who you know, but you may be able to find an employee that can get you a good discount. I had a buddy that worked at a farm/home that carried high end boots, carhartt bibs, and other expensive stuff that he got for like 60% off or more on all that shit. Could be worth a case of beer to the right person.
I wasn’t an every day wearer, more like a couple times a week when I had those and they just seemed to wear a little faster than some. If you’re more of a casual wearer you’ll love them, no doubt.
So I picked up a pair of Ariat's last night. Girl at the store measured my foot and everything, so size and width should be good, had a little slip in the heel, she said that's normal. I was wearing them around the store for about 5-10mins looking at other boots and my arches started to hurt, seemed pretty snug, but she said that's part of the break in. I've never owned a pair of boots like this, so just seeing if this is normal or if I need to just break them in all the way or maybe go for a bigger width.
I'm maybe completely wrong, but I don't think boots "break in" as much as we want them to. If they're uncomfortable when you first put them on, they're going to hurt for a damn long time before they wear enough to fit your foot. Heel slip is normal, she's right but sounds like she might be trying to make a sale.
I don't think she was being pushy at all on the sale, but you may be right. Do Ariat's typically run more narrow? I tried on a pair of Durango's I liked, but I'd never heard of that brand before.
I think they do run a touch more narrow than some and I've even bought a size wider in the past. Never tried on any Durango's.
Looking for my first pair of slip-on boots, still like the Ariat Hybrids? These are primarily work boots, secondary function to wear with jeans running errands. https://www.cavenders.com/ariat-hyb...-wide-square-toe-western-boots/AR0014070.html
Can’t go wrong with Ariat’s for comfortable, inexpensive boots. They make a “work” boot that has insulation if it’s strictly for the cold.
