this is Disney's 2019 slate... Glass Captain Marvel Dumbo Avengers 4 Aladdin Toy Story 4 The Lion King Artemis Fowl Frozen 2 Star Wars: Episode 9 holy cow
I hate studio movie grill, but it makes using movie pass way more enjoyable. Online ordering and all movies are available
It’s eventually going to be a Disney account that includes streaming, theater releases and discounts on merchandise They will automatically withdraw from our bank accounts and we will say “thank you sir, may I have another”
No movies showing at my theater, not even movies that have been out for weeks, and its 4 in the afternoon. That's the last straw. Finally cancelled for good and switched to A-List.
Just saw bad time at the El Royale. It was just ok. Kind of weird.. like they combined a really good movie and a shitty movie.
I love A-List 3 movies a week is perfect, plus I can just buy the tickets online at anytime, and you can see any movie in any format multiple times.
They did that to me last week so I drove to the other theater a few miles away, loaded the shitty bonus movie they had available to my card, and went back to the original theater and saw A Star Is Born.
First Man was decent I could see the acting nominations and cinematography nomination but it was soooo slow and long I can definitely see the 60% RT audience score
the movie was definitely not called Family Man I felt bad for his wife and sons. Seems like the only one he cared about died of cancer.
I saw Venom yesterday. I needed that after A Star Born (which I loved, but can't watch too many of those without falling into a depression). It was fun to watch a superhero movie that was campy and didn't take itself too seriously.
Does Anna Kendrick and Blake lively make out in it? Asking for a friend Spoiler the friend is in my pants
So in my area it’s pretty much theaters that have the MoviePass e-ticketing option you can watch whatever’s showing and the other ones where you check in I see nothing.
That's been happening to me for the last week. I send a message to them on the app telling them nothing is showing up at any location, and then magically things start showing up a few minutes later.
Finally canceled, the only movie available for the past week has been Indivisible. Got a year out of it, saw 30 something movies for my $85 or whatever it was. Good deal while it lasted.
Ha. I did this yesterday after only having one showtime for one movie the past month -- woke up this morning with a full lineup. Will get my moneys worth before I decide to renew or not at the end of the month.
I always had a full lineup when I woke up but by the time the theater opened to sell tickets, it was down to just whatever the 1 shittiest movie of the day was.
It’s become such a joke that I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody today and it didnt even occur to me to look on MoviePass first. I did afterward just for funsies and guess what, there were no more screenings at that location
Creed II showing up on nearby theaters but I’m sure it’ll get removed soon and back to no screenings at this location
For the last 2 months literally not a single showing at the 2 closest theaters even for a second. I canceled. I guess their plan to stay in biz is hope people forget to cancel?
Actually going to see a movie on moviepass’s dime. So nice of them to allow people to actually utilize a service they’ve paid for.
same. my annual plan was ending in december, so i canceled in november. kept looking to see if anything was available until my sub ran out, but nothing was. saw they just announced 3 new plans. i can't imagine anyone is going to sign up given what we've all been through over the last few months
Yeah I canceled too. They literally don't provide anything so why would anyone be a member? Its confusing what they are doing. My parents switched to A-List but I don't have a close AMC. If Regal would do it that would be nice, the Regal here is $15 a ticket and super nice.
I saw it last weekend. It was pretty good. My only complaint was when people clapped at the end of it.
we have an amc but it's a shitty theater in a shitty part of town. if i lived anywhere with a good amc close by, i woulda signed up for a-list so long ago. had a couple friends that signed up for Sinema or whatever it was called, but they hated it/it didn't work, so I'm skipping that for the time being. really wish cinemark had a better plan than they do - maybe moviepass will have so much success that it'll force cinemark's hand
Just checked and Robin Hood, Grindelwald, and Creed 2 are all available. Weird. Most movies in months.
Regal still doesn't have anything? So stupid. It's like $12 a ticket where I am and it's just your standard theater with stadium seating. Shit is a ripoff, I never go. I've only been there 3 times in at least the last 3 years and all those were this past summer when I had Moviepass.
I thought it was extremely cheesy and a real step back from the first one. Young Drago was fucking MASSIVE
I had rather low to the point of zero expectations. The character stuff with Adonis, Bianca, etc. was pretty good but the Drago stuff was forced
38 movies for $89 in 9 months. Last 3 months there were 0 screenings available. By far my highest return on any investment in 2018.
Today’s update. Was able to reserve a screening of Creed during my commute to work. Then I got a notification that I must claim my ticket within 30 minutes. It’s 8:15 you fucking idiots.
At this point their new business strategy is to find ways to steal money from people on their way to insolvency. I've never done such a hard turnaround on a company like I have this one. I defended MP for months during their chaos but man am I glad I dropped them for good.
