Lewis with 35 yards on 6 carries. Henry with 11 yards on 6 carries

my guess is final box score will say something along the lines of: Lewis with 68 yards on 11 carries. Henry with 15 yards on 11 carries

Mariota might never be Brady or Aaron rogers, but he is good enough to win games, but his supporting seems to let him down more than prop him up.

These are my exact thoughts, he wont be a top 8 QB, but he can be a top 10-12 QB if his team wasnt complete dick.

Top 12 QB (with decent supporting cast) and a good defense gives you a shot.

decided to just watch porn and stuck around. Dion Lewis is a really good back. He should be on the field for 90% of our offensive plays

Mariota with some really good throws. One of them against Casey Hayward, who spends lots of time in Nashville in the offseason and has been one of the top corners in the league the past few years. But those drops...

I think Dion Lewis probably scores easily if we just pound him behind Lewan right?

Depends on the look we get from the defense. I tend to want to pass there, but out of a 4 wide set where Marcus can use the entire field.

Totally fair, I would want to go into the play in a 4 wide set and if they clear the middle then im good with running the ball.

Another game, another come from behind by Mariota in the closing minutes. Why anyone would want to give up on Mariota is beyond me.
I don’t know if that was his first option

Looks like the Chargers crept up to cover Smith and Mariota made the right read but the throw was high/Taylor is short.

Throw had to be high with the safety or backer coming underneath.

Why not have Henry or Lewis in the backfield? Just the threat of a run would make the D play that differently. And if we do a zone read with either of them the chances are much better than a straight drop back. Our offensive staff has been very underwhelming. Mariota played well enough to win but our damn receivers let him down play after play.

Agree completely, going empty there was dumb. But, im over Henry. Lewis needs to be getting 80 percent of the carries.

Titans still top 3 in scoring defense at 18.1 PPG. Despite some injuries (Morgan/Vaccaro/Woodyard/etc) and an insistence on starting New England's castaways, they're still apparently pretty good on the defensive side of the ball. They are 10th in yards allowed per game (8th passing/18th rushing). I imagine getting healthy there will help considerably

that carry was probably part of the 20% Henry should be getting. I wonder which RB we will draft early this coming spring

I think our passing defensive stats are probably inflated by who we have played. But overall our defense is pretty good, just need one more corner and to get healthy.

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/sto...up-rankings-which-contracts-easiest-cut-trade

The numbers listed below each quarterback's name show the 2019 salary-cap charges their teams would incur for keeping, cutting or trading them, according to ESPN's Roster Management System. Cuts would take place after the season, without taking advantage of the so-called "June 1 rule" allowing teams to push cap charges into the future. Moves sometimes would be made before guarantees kicked in.

    2. Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans
    Keep: $20,922,000 | Cut: $0 | Trade: $0

Mariota's 2019 contract is identical to Winston's. The Titans picked up his fifth-year option for the same $20.9 million price. I've listed Mariota below Winston because he carries a higher injury risk, so there's a higher chance, in theory, that his 2019 salary could become fully guaranteed, which would restrict the team's options. Mariota suffered a broken ankle late in the 2016 season. He has been battling an elbow injury this season, missing one game already.

What to make of Mariota in his fourth season? He has 16 touchdown passes with 20 interceptions since the start of 2017.

However, the situation has been less than ideal. Mariota has had three head coaches and three offensive coordinators in four seasons. Two of his offensive coordinators had never called plays in the NFL before the Titans hired them. The third, Terry Robiskie, had been a coordinator from 1989 to '92 and in 2004. The team has also changed owners and general managers during Mariota's tenure.

Had Mariota played better, perhaps the Titans would have enjoyed greater stability. Then again, the general expectation was that Mariota could become a good starting quarterback in the right situation. The expectation was not that he would be another Andrew Luck, able to carry a bad team right from the start.

Now what? The Titans' leadership does not have strong ties to Mariota. Their GM, Jon Robinson, was with Tampa Bay when that organization drafted Winston over Mariota. The Titans' head coach, Mike Vrabel, was with Houston when Mariota was selected second overall. Moving on from Mariota would not necessarily count against Robinson or Vrabel the way it would if both had pushed hard for the team to draft him.
