guessing this boil thing didn't become a thing when they announced it today because I've had some shits and so has my dog today from drinking water yesterday. currently boiling a gallon that will hopefully be cold enough to drink in 2 hours. may have to be one of those people that takes a giant water container to the gym
boil water notice. micronesians are invading the water due to flooding and you have to boil your water before drinking it so they go back to their country and don't take your jobs
the city is under a boil water notice from all the shit flowing in from the floods luckily i live in round rock
My team and I made a run to temple and just got back with 10 pallets of bottled water from Sam's up there
idk that's what the email I received said. this is the first time i've ever heard of a boil warning. is it longer??? a week??? I don't know if we have enough la croixs in the office for that. mostly because I plan on taking 3 home with me every night
Never been in one either, but feels like this will take longer than a couple days to clear up the water treatment facilities. Never got a boil advisory during Harvey. Think I’ll be drinking a lot of beer this week. If you have any friends that drive around a bunch for work, ask em to grab you some water from the burbs/surrounding towns. Had some picked up in Lockhart by Waka today.
I got tired of Michigan winter and moved down here about 3-4 years ago. I live over on the suburban hell west side of town.
Thanks to the fine gentlemen of this thread. I had a grand motherfucking time due to your prime suggestions
BBQ was spot on. Odd duck. Waterloos. We went to bangers for Octoberfest on sat. I really like austin, i am jealous.
I liked Rainey St quite a bit, even though it's not that big. Really good vibe even though weather was shit. I had been before and it's fun even though I may be a bit old for that scene.
Only a few bars on Rainey that would be too young for late 30s early 40s - Unbarlievable, Container and maybe Icenhauers. I woulda said Half Step, Clive and Hotel Van Zandt/Geraldines would be good for older folk. Gonna be beautiful weather by Friday just in time for Cherub. Kinda wish I was goin to White Denim at Mohawk instead though. What's good for halloween this/next weekend? My crew is slackin. New girl taking me to a big house party with a bunch of fancy people from the modeling/acting/etc scene this saturday. She's bent on being Khaleesi and I love being a costume/character that lets me actually act in character all night so decent chance I throw together a Khal Drogo costume the next couple days and speak made up Dothraki or just say "No" all night to everyone.
also prob doin that chilloween at Native Hostel next wednesday. an excuse to wear sweats to the bar and drink good drinks on a couch instead of tryin to get smashed on west/rainey
showers are good. I think the only household water you have to worry about boiling besides standard drinking water is for brushing teeth or washing dishes. at least that's what I read. Also we have a not very fancy water machine at our office that's hooked right into the plumbing. it's at least 5 years old and the product page website definitely didn't sound like it had any capacity to make this water clean... 3-4 coworkers have been drinking it the last 3 days with no problem.
hood b. goode snag a ticket to cherub and come with our crew we got like 7 and a bunch of untsss untsss juice
rainey sundays are magical. so much better than going out on a friday / saturday to the bar, girls are ez to talk to and chill met a mrs. goode candidate earlier this wk gonna have to pursue this one just looked up cherub. lol ill holla, think a couple folks want to hit up house of torment buttt im always down for stubbs
Seeing Courtney Barnett at KGSR Saturday afternoon and then checking out Electronik Picnik at Auditorium Shores. Basically, I just really want to act like FSU-Clemson isn’t happening
Lmk how long you had to wait for house if torment. Supposed to go Sunday and I don't want to wait that long so debating on tickets
I went last year and got either the speed pass or the skip the line. i think just the speed pass. and went on a random weeknight. had to wait 10-15 min to get in initially but the 2nd and 3rd "zones" or whatever we got in immediately ahead of probably 30ish people. Spoiler also date and I thought we were just gonna toot a little heyo before we went there and ate a small edible. turns out there was also some leftover molly on the picture frame we used from the Cherub show the weekend before... they always play austin in late october. it was possibly the most terrifying but awesome experience ever. like scared shitless numerous times. would I do it again... maybe
Interesting quote from the press release: “Folks, we knew with notorious TMB user devine coming to town that time was of the essence”
