Very disappointing to start with a 2 goal lead and blow it but at least we still got a point. I feel like we could have beaten Brighton and beaten Hove Albion, but when you have to play two teams at once be happy with a draw /Dad joke
This came out on Sunday and if you haven’t watched it yet do so immediately. Couldn’t figure out a better way to embed it from my phone so I tweeted it. I googled Promoted: Fulham on my TV’s browser and it was the first result.
It was awesome. Obviously it was cool that it focused a lot of the american connection. Khan seems like he loves the club and really wants it to be successful and will give it all the support it needs.
Ugly first half, but I love the announcers claiming we should sit back like Cardiff or Newcastle against Man City. That's not the way we're setup and we might be losing by more goals if we played that way. I'm sure Sessegnon and Odoi would look terrific in a bunkering position against Man City.
Went for a run after the third goal and it was a perfect metaphor for the game because it kicked my ass. Did City just back off, did we back off, or did we just not give them as many chances? Agree with Slaviša not changing tactics. Our style is our style, we just don’t have the talent to match up with the best teams in the world - no surprise. Look at how giddy we were at the amount of money we spent this summer. It was unprecedented for us. Meanwhile watching All or Nothing I saw City say last season, “damn we have injuries to two center backs let’s just buy another one for €50 million.”
I didn’t wake up early enough to watch the game. Looks like Mitro was really close to a winner at the end. Hard to dig out when you go down early, but gotta be getting 3 more often at home. Seems like Slav is a big fan of Vietto, can’t think that Sess loves being in defense or bench and wouldn’t be surprised to see him sold in the winter or summer.
Didn’t watch because 1) I am on the west coast and it was an early game and 2) because I spent the morning hiking at Joshua Tree. How did we look?
Ream back today and De La Torre with a goal. I can't remember the last time we've been in the last 16 of a cup. Hope for a kind draw.
There are some favorable draws out there. Would like Burton, Norwich, Derby, or Blackpool. That said we'll probably get the winner of Liverpool/Chelsea
Kind of shaky most of the half but I really like how we played the last 10 minutes or so. Should be 2-0 as both Sess and Schurrle should have buried those. Big fan of the lineup with Schurrle at AM
I forgot this one was so early so by the time I woke up and turned it on it was 2-1 in the 58th minute. We were showing some good movement at the time but when we are punching above our weight class and continue our aggressive style things have a tendency to break bad quickly. I think once we start playing some of the teams near the bottom of the table we’ll start picking up some wins. Next 5 are Cardiff, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Liverpool and Southampton. I feel like 8 points is a decent expectation and would probably have us around 14th. Not worried yet, but I do think Bettinelli needs to sit for a while.
Fulham is just so out of their element in the EPL, they cannot defend against anyone right now they just need to somehow not get relegated
That Schurrle strike was very reminiscent of Seri’s earlier in the year. Looks like we’re headed for a high scoring game here now.
Cardiff has 1/4 the budget of Huddersfield, the 2nd lowest budget in the prem and they are running all over our 100 million pounds boys.
At least Sess finally scored! Defense is so soft this is a game they need to squeeze 3 points from to stay clear
This is a serious wake up call. We can’t say we’ve just been out classed by the best clubs in the world. Now we’ve been outclassed by one of the worst clubs in the EPL
Announcers talking about how the defense is more compact but still a lot of open space for the counterattack
The defense needs to find a way to stop conceding goals at will. If Jokanovic cannot figure out a way (another defensive assistant or a slight change in tactics) to correct this, he might be the first manager sacked. His decision to take off Le Marchand for Cairney while McDonald and Kamara were both sitting on yellow cards was baffling and partially led to an avoidable sending off of McDonald. Just an awful game. Need something from the Huddersfield game next Monday.
Kamara is such a fuckstick I don't want to see him on the pitch again. He was a disgrace Saturday. He had a good shot at scoring on the play where he dove and got the yellow instead, and only the good graces of the referee kept him from being sent off in the second half which would have left us two men down. He's got physical talent but he plays completely out of control. He needs to be lent to a Championship side (skip the obvious joke that we're playing like a Championship side)
He reminds me so much of Jozy. Big and should be physical, but horrible touch and always goes down if someone breathes on him.

"We’re not playing for ourselves and for each other first and foremost and there’s no togetherness. "We give up a goal and heads go down and today it was a bit different, we had a little bit more of the ball and in the second half we came out with a little bit more fight in us and started going at Bournemouth. "We gave up a second goal and that’s when heads just really dropped. "There’s no fight amongst the group right now and I said midweek, we’re not a team at the minute we’re a group of individuals who don’t look like they want to stay in this league and until that changes and guys, myself included, step up even more, it’s going to stay this way." After defeat to Sunderland you were embarrassed and then got really good, same might happen after Cardiff? “I felt the same thing. I don’t know why (not), I don’t know that everyone grasps what the situation is. "It’s hard to describe, you don’t want to single anybody out. It’s not any one individual, it’s the group, it’s the collective.” Are the too many new faces? “No I don’t think you can blame that on the new guys. "I don’ think that’s fair on them, I don’t think that’s fair on the guys who are here. "There’s just not that same mentality and determination. I think too many guys are happy to skate through and not put in the effort that maybe we put in last season. "That’s down to every individual. "We have to look at ourselves first before pointing fingers, this guy and that guy, you have to look in the mirror, it’s easy to say that I know. "Unless you’re willing and ready to raise your own standards you can’t expect other people to raise their own." When you mention your frustration - do you see that among team-mates? "Yeah, and that's natural. "Everybody in there wants to win games, everybody wants to be further up the table, everybody wants to score goals and concede as many as we are. "It's not anything special, it's not anything new. "There's definitely a frustration we're not picking up results, and not winning games and not conceding so many. "It's not a frustration with this player or that player, it's more of a frustration at the situation, not one thing that's going on." How bad is that lack of confidence? "It's a huge issue. That goes back to the mentality. "Okay, so we concede a goal, what are we going to do about it? Are we going to crumble or are we going to try and change things? "After the first goal we looked like we were going to try and change things; we came out in the second half and looked like we were going to do something about it, and for some reason the second goal goes in, and that's when heads go down. "It's human nature to a certain extent, but you still have to fight. It's not acceptable to just cave in and roll over." How crucial is next week at Huddersfield? "Every game's crucial; it doesn't matter whether it's Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Liverpool, we have to start getting results, getting three points. We need to be more solid all over the pitch."
