Seems like TCL has replaced visio as the “cheap but good quality” tv option.

I bought a refurbished TCL 32" for a bedroom, it went out in less than 6 months, but it was only $100

I turned HDR on last night when watching Infinity War in 4K Blu-ray. Am I correct that it shouldn’t be turned on for the regular tv watching input? Thought the guy at the store was saying that cable doesn’t even have the capabilities or whatever.

Edit: think I found my answer and will just leave it on all the time

that's some good value, but the E series is missing some 'advanced' features that are found in M/P/P-Quantum Dot series. rtings.com can elaborate. I would say its a matter of choice/priority.

For comparison (not sure if you have one around you) Fry's has the E65-E1 for $599 w/ code today.

Looking to upgrade my Vizio that is now a decade old. I would like to get something that will last awhile, and have kind of settled into the idea of LG OLED.

Is there much of a difference between the B/C/E models?

Just bought a 120” projector screen from Amazon. Have a somewhat decent but older projector that I “borrowed” from work. Using it for an event my wife has planned but I am now intrigued and will probably go all out with figuring a sound system and a way to set this up outside.

OK, so i just found out my TV i have now is 60 inch, so i think im leaning towards getting 2018 LG OLED 65 inch, great TV but also is a bit bigger.

A 65inch Samsung OLED for $1400 seems like a steal. The TCL we just got was $1200.

75 inch Samsung qled or 65 in lg oled

Both are around 2k. It's a living room with a lot of natural light so kinda worried I wont get benefits of the oled

OLED guys, is burn in a issue? Why am I seeing this pop up on random reviews? I game a bit and am terrified of spending $2000 to get burn in.

Also, anybody with experience with Sony OLED? I see everyone plugging LG/Samsung. Got a off the truck deal for a 65" (XBR65A1E) for $2200.

looking for a new tv for my living room. Looking for a 65 inch tv, room has lots of natural light. Most important will be use for live sports but will be used for pretty much all purposes. What should I look for? What specs are important. I have direcTV if service provider matters for 4K considerations or whatever. Not looking to get crazy with expenses, just a good value.

i really like looking thru the rtings.com website, or whatever it is, and comparing everything. lots of different options you can choose to sort by, and a bunch of different models they've reviewed.

HZ is refresh rate, generally the same as FPS....the amount of times per second the tv regenerates the image, more is better.

60hz is standard, 120hz is great , and pro gamers look for 120+ as they need to see their images as fast as possible. I'm not aware of consumer screens above 240hz, and those are expensive.

60 is just fine, and sports are not broadcast above 60 at this point. For gaming, anything greater than 60 will be advantageous, but for TV, movies and sports 60, gets the job done fine.

This TV is marketed as 120hz, but in reality, the TV is 60hz. They use software "tricks" to claim that its 120. Note the "120hz effective" in the description? They even include their proprietary "CMI", meaning "clear motion index", their 'secret sauce' for making a 60hz panel look like its a 120hz panel.

for $550, you'll be fine. Just get a warranty. devine

That TV is 120hz "effective" refresh. That's code for slightly better than 60hz. That said, it doesn't matter, HDR means more and most stuff is 24 frames/second. I would 100% buy that TV.
