Guess this is premise/title of his show. Rumor out there that Pedro Pascal has been cast as the lead.
i don't care for the mandalorians too much, but a combination of favreau being the creative force behind this, the timeline in which it's set, and pedro pascal possibly being cast, i'm excited
Prince Oberyn playing a gunslinger in a Star Wars western is like a fever dream I never want to shake.
I've never been too interested in Mandalorians as a whole but this does sound pretty cool. Maybe an older Sabine shows up as well.
Because space western, pretty simple But no, you’re right, it’s not going to be firefly Spoiler It’s going to be live action cowboy bebop with an occasional lightsaber
I've literally been saying for like 4 years, it would be so easy to just do the story of a bounty hunter (with a bit of conscience of you're into that) at the outer rim of the galaxy and you'd get a fuck of load of people to watch.
MakingStarWars has a pretty good track record and this is what they’ve heard. It would make sense: “I don’t believe the episode count was addressed in their press release and I had heard that the show was having an eight-episode run that was “all killer, no filler.” This is the breakdown of the directors and which episode number of the first season of The Mandalorian they will be directing for the live-action Star Wars streaming show: 101 Dave Filoni 102 Rick Famuyiwa 103 Deborah Chow 104 Bryce Dallas Howard 105 Dave Filoni 106 Rick Famuyiwa 107 Deborah Chow 108 Taika Waititi” I’d also bet these are auditions to direct films in the GoT guys trilogy as well as Rian Johnson's
Ive watched the first three (they're avail on the disney app) Coming w extremely low expectations, I dont hate it. There are some interesting threads to pull on but we'll see.
Is anyone else still doing the clone wars rewatch? Im still doing it, but find myself not having much to say in these early episodes.
im way behind but was planning on catching up soon. we should move the discussion here. the other thread was a bust
my SIL wants to introduce my five year old nephew to Star Wars and she asked me what movie she should show him first. I told her A New Hope, but she's a little worried it won't pull him in. I definitely wouldn't show him any other movie first, but I did consider starting him with The Clone Wars series. thoughts?
I think that's a good place to start. I mean 5 is a little young for the movies to mean much. Attention spans and whatnot.
he's obsessed with the Jurassic Park/World franchise, which I would have also thought would be a little bit much for a five year old, but he loves it so hopefully this gets a similar reaction.
I was going to say PM too. Has a young protagonist, a goofy cartoonish character, lots of goofy comedy ect. Seems like a young kid would like that stuff.
As the tathet of a 5 y/o who's watched all the movies, kids that young do not give a fuck about that. Not a single one.
