Isiah Stewart and Khalil Whitney from this year. Will Baker, Oscar Tshwibie, Keion Brooks are five stars that had us in their final list.
Brooks has a final 5 of IU, MSU, UCLA, UNC, and UK while Stewart's is MSU, UK, Washington, Duke, IU, Nova, and Syracuse.....he said short list, not mentioned as an interested school
It is a big loss. The obvious ties is his dad (Lester Earl) played at KU. However, his mom and her family are 4th generation Jayhawks. Big boosters/alums and his great, great grandpa or something like that was the 3rd professor at KU. The Robinsons are big Jayhawks. From what I heard, JRE really loved Jay Wrights pitch. Thinks he'll use him better than he would be used at KU. I could probably agree with that and him leaving Kansas City for his senior year shows that he wanted to get out of the area. Or he knew he wasn't going to KU and didn't want to be local when he did so. Either way, we've been recruiting him since he was in 8th grade so a big loss.
weird recruitment. already took all 5 ov's and was planning on announcing thanksgiving weekend. unc offered sunday. looks like he is taking an unofficial next weekend to us. family appears to receptive to unc getting involved at the last minute guessing it is too little too late but flying on his own dime to nc is interesting https://247sports.com/Player/Zeke-Nnaji-46041762/
roy has struggled getting the top guys recently but it’s such an accepted belief that we’re getting cole anthony that it’s scaring off some guys like boogie on one hand i am thrilled if we get cole. on the other hand it worries me to miss on guys based on a hypothetical that could not happen ahhh recruiting
A pair of top 2020 basketball targets are set to visit Florida State this weekend. Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial five-star shooting guard Jalen Green and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School five-star small forward Scottie Barnes are both due in to see the Seminoles. Edwards the 3rd ranked player appears to be a Seminoles lean at this time. Not bad for hamilton.
#1 ranked James Wiseman makes his college choice at noon today. All signs pointing towards Memphis since his former HS and AAU coach Penny Hardaway is now the head coach there. Also, Vernon Carey cuts his list to three teams this week. Duke and Michigan State will be on there for sure, the other one is up in the air from what all I have read. But weird shit happens in basketball recruiting so who the hell knows.
unc is supposedly the third. also wiseman is no longer #1. edwards reclassified https://247sports.com/college/north...ifies-is-new-No-1-player-in-Top247-125027525/
zeke nnaji to announce friday. unc hopped in super late but that seems to be his pick and the school he was waiting on. not confirmed but seems to be trending that way. solid jre consolation
not sure what our level of involvement is going to be especially bc we rarely if ever mess with reclassifying (mcadoo is the only one i can remember who even flirted with the idea). says we're in constant contact so maybe we get lucky but imagining it'll be fsu
Pretty sure hamm has been on Edwards since he was like in 7th or 8th grade and wasn't projected to be a high profile player. It Hamilton ever lands a top top guy it's usually because he was the first on them. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if another school got in his ear and fsu is the bridesmaid
I have watched a lot on film on wiseman an looked up his eybl stats, I don’t see it at all with him. He’s such an underwhelming top 5 prospect.
Well he doesn't bullshit with recruits and sugar coat things like saying you're guaranteed to start and play 30 minutes a game every night like some coaches do.
Fair enough. But the sleep at night comment? He’s basing that on not actually handing the brief case of cash over?? Is he really throwing out the woe is me line?
No, he's basing that on not lying left and right to the kids just to get them to commit, hence the telling the truth thing.
