I'm honestly not too worried about beating any of our last three games, with Book or Wimbush. They'll probably be closer games than otherwise or ideal but I think we're better enough than all three that we still win no problem Still a major negative though - Book playing three more games would help him grow with the offense a lot more and probably raise their ceiling in a semifinal game
I mean, we were in a nail biter with Ball State under a mentally prepared Wimbush. Should we still win all three? Probably. Am I worried about the current state of affairs, especially if Book misses the Syracuse game? Hell yeah.
This really sucks. It's hard for me to enjoy games with Wimbush back there. Book made watching games fun again.
The Ball St game was terrible. But our worst games this year have been letdown efforts in the games that should've been our easier ones. I think the last three games are all games we'll get up for given where we're at in the season
O’Malley brought up a good point about the ball state game. If you remember, it was as if the staff told Brandon he couldn’t run that game - it was really odd.
Hoping staff runs no huddle run first Wimbush Not that shit we saw against Ball State or Vandy, no huddle Wimbush is a decent QB
ow they will, im sure. that ball state and vandy shit was just expirimenting, im pretty much certain about that
Gotta run him anyway and hope he doesn’t get injured. He is absolutely useless if you try to play the same game as book with him.
With all of this running everyone is talking about, is our o-line randomly gonna play well against a good run defense? I don't think we've done too much of that thus far this year. Only way this isn't a frustratingly close game IMO is if we come out the gate fast and FSU players freak out when they see smoke coming out of their mouths when they breathe.
Wimbush can hit some long plays running and throwing , they will load the box and their corners are not that good. Take some shots and play defense.
I also have to believe that even though they’re saying 2 weeks, if Brandon gets us through FSU, Book will not let them hold him out of the cuse game
The Michigan game plan should be enough to get us through FSU with Wimbush, but Syracuse will be a tough one if our offense can't move the ball. I don't think its out of the question that we could get in the playoff as a 1 loss team either, especially if the loss has a built in excuse like a QB injury. Basically, assuming Bama beats Georgia, all we would need is the Big 12 to cannibalize itself. Or some other convenient chaos, like Northwestern winning the BIG.
Nd is not going to get the benefit of the doubt, seems clear to me so far. The Michigan win is wiped out with a loss, can’t lose another game.
Because they had no idea, the swelling start later and then you see the damage when the swelling goes down. He must have been in a world of pain, he is tough as fuck
If it’s a kidney the guy is pissing blood.... if it’s a rib it is painful to breath. He is a tough kid anyway for winning this game
Have to imagine he was pissing blood for a while after the Northwestern game. If I saw a toilet full of blood, I'd defer to what the medical staff told me, regardless of how I felt.
Why do teams tell the press a player's status? Do they have an injury report like the nfl? I'm just surprised you wouldn't let a team twist in the wind preparing for one qb and getting another.
I was thinking this as well. I’ve gotta think it’s a drastically different defensive game plan gearing up for Wimbush instead of Book
Based on his press conference today, seemed like that's what bk would have preferred. But it got out anyway
