Denver Airport is great because while I can just stop by a friendly neighborhood Illuminati meeting before boarding my flight.
For its absurd size, Atlanta is almost impossibly nice and well run. It's like the opposite of Houston Bush
No Airport is easier to get in and out of that’s decent sized than San José and it’s literally smack in the middle of San José
I've only flown for two trips and somehow I went through 3 of the top 10 in Dallas, Charlotte, and Orlando
Seoul is the best I've been to by far. It's insane how clean that place is considering the amount of people going in and out every day.
My best major US: Denver ATL Detroit Worst: Newark LGA Miami International favorites: Changi - Singapore Haneda - Tokyo Incheon - Seoul Heathrow - London (virgin/delta business/first lounges and check in makes this elite for me) Zurich International worst: London Luton Bangkok Paris Orly
Denver is great, but location sucks. Big fan of Boston's too. I hate the vegas airport unless your flying out on a less busy time. Always too congested.
Tampa is still the best I have been too and I am very glad it is in my city. I dont get how Atl or Orlando are on there.
If your airport doesn’t have water bottle refill stations then it’s not airporting to its full potential
Not even close. Between hilljacks from all over the country flying for the first time and the moronic layout and 100’ monorail to nowhere, it’s on its own level.
Hate: Miami Love: Seattle -I like LHR. The elite check-in is certainly a huge perk. Heathrow is great unless you didn't originate in London/you're making a connection to a different terminal. And if you have to get on the tube to do so, it is terrible. -Hong Kong is a great intl airport
I forgot to bash Orlando. I was there for a day trip this summer and it was absolutely miserable. Had to wait in line after security to get on the stupid 2 minute monorail to the terminal (wtf), then get to my gate and it’s absolutely flooded with people and I don’t think the AC was working. Add the whole Disney vibe, screaming kids, disgusting tourists and I wanted to kill myself.
I honestly can't imagine a good Florida airport. What would that even look like? How would they manage to staff it exclusively with non-Floridians?
There is something endearing about the international terminal in Miami. It always reminds me of the Cairo scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
LAX is horrendous. Especially when flying international. Denver shouldn’t be #1 simply due to its distance from downtown. I was surprised at what a dump San Diego is. On the other hand, I can routinely make it from my kitchen to my gate at TPA in less than 20 minutes Singapore was phenomenal. Butterfly garden, free movie theater, a ton of lounges.
I almost missed my flight because a family of pasty midwesterners couldn't figure out that no matter their protest, their kid wasn't getting her mylar balloon on that airplane.
I used to go through there a lot when I was a kid on the way to Colombia. Total chaos, but exciting. Wish I could go back and see it with the perspective I have now.
The Delta terminal, post-renovation, is top notch. And they have big renovations completing in 2020 in the other terminal. Most opinions on DTW are going to be out of date.
You are right. I've spent many more hours in Dulles but still had my fair share of taking fucking buses to terminals and navigating through seas of people who don't adhere to American traffic laws.
I haven’t been to many in the US but I liked San Diego’s. Super quick - got off the plane, walked down an escalator, grabbed my bag, walked out the nearest door and was in the uber area. Also isn’t in a super remote location like some cities’. Toronto and Oslo both have class airports. I liked Heathrow as well.
Atlanta is good imo. Detroit is fine. CLT is meh. Newark is bad and Laguadia is a shithole. Those are the US airports i’ve been in. Toronto is garbage. Cancun is okay but boring. Copenhagen is still the best i’ve ever been to. Athens is fine, Gatwick is meh Manchester is a shithole. theres plenty of other euro airports i can think off but i dont think theres anything that sticks out other than these.
Sacramento, Tampa, Dallas Love Field, and Birmingham have all been very pleasant. Never had issues in Atlanta. Fuck SFO and McCarron. Oakland is fine. San Diego kinda sucks. Canadian airports shit on ours. Been through Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto and they were all decent-great.
The free hour of parking is so nice. Its still a bit 80s in parts but the Southwest terminal is super nice.
