The only real intruder I fear is a sexual predator that waits for me to leave and knows my wife is home. A buddy in my neighborhood just had his wife walk into her living room while a guy was trying to break into their back door at 6 am. Apparently he had watched my buddy leave to go work out and thought the house was empty. He just ran away when he saw her but all I could think about is what if jewelry is not what he was after.
which is why my wife knows I have a Glock 30 hidden under our bed skirt tucked in a between the mattress holster.
Yep, buy some of that Sabre bear spray for defense. The stuff lays a cloud of pain about 10-15 yards out
sure, all you want to do is protect your family and get the threat away from them. I'd trust that spray more than a layman's accuracy with a gun in that stressful situation.
really? Now I gotta re-look at this stuff and weigh my options. Not even kidding, I respect your opinion on these things.
Yeah I can’t understate this enough. Most anyone can power through control sprays. Plus, I don’t want to deter someone who puts my family in danger. I want to kill them.
I've also heard this stated that the pursuer is more apt to be able to power through the direct spray than the victim will from the overspray or pushback spray. For instance it more causes incapacity more on the victim than the predator, to the benefit of the predator.
Are we actually allowed to stop intruders in Canada? Or must we turn over what they are after and apologize for slowing them down?
Speaking of home defense. Anyone own or shot a Remington V3 TAC-13 or any of the shockwave type pistol grip shotguns?
I've been thinking about getting this for myself for after Christmas. I've been wanted to play around with night vision for coyotes in Wyoming for a long time. Seems like it would be a lot of fun. The wifi streaming and one shot zero look fun too. https://www.opticsplanet.com/atn-x-...ht-hunting-rifle-scope-5-20x-with-full-h.html
Went gun shopping today but came home empty handed. Couldn't find shit, would have settled on a Five Seven but couldn't even find that. Did handle a B&T ACP9, veeery well built but I think I'd rather hold out for a GHM9 which they said they should have back in stock in a few weeks. I guess I just missed out on a Bond Arms Bullpup by a few hours. It looks retarded but I would have totally bought it.
I posted this a few pages back, but I went with the Winkler Spike over the Woodsman because there wasn’t much size difference between the Woodsman and my Gerber 06. Also ordered this blade w/the trainer. May take up to 12 weeks though...I’m not patient. I really like the Fairbairn/Applegate style DE. Sheath is awesome too. The trainer is going to be fun. A buddy and I are going to take Krav Maga starting in the new year.
A 12 week wait would kill me. Well, maybe not, I'd likely forget I ordered it after week two. You have those issues at my age.
I need an optic, I only count 10 in the safes. A third of them are the tiny handgun ones like the Trijicon RMR and the rest are larger like the Eotech or full blown rifle scopes. I lack any mid size optics like the one photoed below. Do you guys have any favorites I should be looking at? New stuff on the market? I have an astigmatism, not sure if there's any fancy stuff out there that helps with that.

Can anyone explain what Aimpoint has to offer as far as quality goes, they seem to be 2x-4x everything else. I can't recall owning anything Aimpoint.
Bets place to get a Trijicon MRO? Do they generally go on sale for Black Friday or does Trijicon have MAP pricing?
Gun.deals has the best stuff listed. I only had one aimpoint and that was in the Army. It was great, cant speak to any of their other stuff or a Triji red dot but everyone loves them. As far as astigmatism I believe the only thing you need to avoid is an etched reticle like the Vortex spark2
I’ve got an aim point t2 on my AR. Like it a bunch. Sits real low on the rail though, had to get a pretty beefy riser for comfort.
