Are they way more grotesque? Not saying they are good, not a fan of factory farming, but they are more grotesque than this?? I do sometimes get a kick out of the peace and love hippies who are against hunting, when most animals meet their demise in pretty awful ways. Being eaten by something else, starving, freezing, etc.
I feel like this is just a bad matchup of fighting styles. Don't rams generally square up, take a few steps back, then RAM! This poor guy got his first lick in, then the deer started playing by different rules.
T Rams are more of a stick and move fighter, Deer are grapplers, once the ram threw his haymaker and missed the deer had the upper hand.
Not that cool of a story, but I recently moved out to LA. Living around Long Beach and I was leaving the gas station late one night when I thought I saw a dog near this car dealership. I looked again and saw 3 coyotes just trotting in the grass. Apparently that’s a thing out here?
My aunt’s dog got attacked by a coyote about a year ago. I take my dog out to her pond occasionally and if a coyote ever comes after my lab I plan on killing it. Fairly confident I could take one down with my bare hands.
Looks like that coyote consumed some slow acting poison. Sad way to go. The fast acting poisons aren’t as effective bc the coyotes are smart enough to recognize the cause and effect of another coyote taking the bait.
I just finished watching the Temple Grandin movie starring Claire Danes. Temple Grandin is autistic and her designs are used in over half the feed yards and slaughter houses in America. She basically sees the world through the lens of cattle (in pictures). She says, “We raise them for us, we owe them some respect.” Incredibly touching film and an incredible human being. I’ve seen that movie probably 5 times and have yet to watch it without tearing up. Can’t recommend that movie enough.
If a coyote observes a coyote eat (and die) from a fast acting bait (poison) they won’t eat the bait. So ranchers will use slower acting baits to kill more coyotes (in a less humane way). That appears To be what has happened to the coyote in the video. It’s in the process of being poisoned. Also responsible for a lot of “chupacabra” sightings, just a poisoned and slowly dieing coyote.
Author of “Coyote America” on Joe Rogan. They’re fascinating animals. They have nightly “roll call” with their howls. When a coyote is missing from the roll call the females go into “colonization mode” triggering them to go into heat and have larger litters of pups. It’s like a super virus. The more coyotes you kill the more you create, some wild shit.
Took a second watch to realize that warthog was all kinds of fucked. Saw the gator early on but didn't realize it was in the water due to the lack of wild dogs until the second watch. Die by gator or die by wild dogs.
It’s just unreal how patient the gator was and how it seemed to wait for the warthog to get out of the water to bring it back with a fury
yep. The pic has to be just the right millisecond that it landed and was in full flex, but damn that thing is jacked
What part of the country is that? I'm guessing pacific NW? Our trees down south look nothing like that.
