'dark mode' refers to a couple different things. If you're talking about system theme, make sure you have predominantly dark background.

Fi will add support for Samsung, OnePlus, and iPhones, according to Droid Life, which reported on a since-removed article at BGR. More handsets from existing Fi partners LG and Motorola will also gain Fi support. The iPhone experience is apparently “in beta,” which is a sign that users might run into bugs or be left without some of Fi’s features. Project Fi is the Google-backed MVNO that combines network coverage from T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular. The service is appealing for its straightforward pricing: unlimited calls and texts are $20 per month, and mobile data is $10 per gigabyte until you reach 6GB. (After that, it’s free, but customers experience slower speeds if they cross 15GB.) The lineup of “Fi-ready” compatible phones — those that Google says have been fully optimized for the network — is fairly short: Google is currently selling the Pixel 3, 3 XL, 2 XL, LG G7, LG V35, Moto G6, and Moto X4 (Android One edition) directly through its Project Fi website. And although Google is apparently about to widen support and officially allow more devices onto Fi, those “Fi-friendly” phones will still offer the best overall user experience for subscribers, according to the report. It’s not yet entirely clear what that means, but we should know more once Google makes a proper announcement. Either way, adding that pool of popular hardware will allow for many more consumers to give the service a shot and see if the pricing model and performance are preferable over Fi’s larger competitors. Mine was supposed to come today, but because it requires a signature, it's been rescheduled for tomorrow. Well, it'll probably have to keep being rescheduled until Saturday, because they always deliver when I'm at work, but never around the same time. I can't take a whole day off just to get a package. If the driver would come back around at the end of the day, that would be great, but unlikely to happen.
Odd, mine didn't require a signature. At least the tracking page didn't say so. Of course I have anything like that shipped to the campus post office so it's not sitting out in the open for someone to steal at the house., so there is always someone around to sign for packages.
Also, anyone who has done the trade-in thing through the Google Store, did the box for trade-in come with the new phone you bought or does it come separately? My trade-in box didn't come with my new phone.

I work from home, so I'm spoiled, but look into UPS My Choice (Premium?) membership and the FedEx equivalent. For a nominal fee, maybe $3-$10/package you can hold for pickup, reschedule, etc. For someone who is unable to get away from the office to sign for something at home, I would imagine that ~$5 is a no-brainer to avoid the hassle that can extend multiple days. Even with the free tier (which is what I have) of My Choice, you can pre-authorize packages that need to be signed, pick a designated spot for the delivery man to leave, etc. You also get to see time windows for delivery usually. YMMV.

They haven't delivered the phone yet, but the post office did deliver my case and some other things. Didn't realize how much smaller the phone will be compared to my Nexus 6, particularly the width.

they've always been shitty to me, at least in this area. i've had them deliver a package while i was home, and they never even knocked or rang the door bell. just left it at the door. luckily i needed to go get some food, or i wouldn't have known it was there until the next day. on the flip side, i've had UPS come back later in the day to see if i was there.
Google Fi has pulled the travel promotion earlier than initially promised. At around 10pm ET a Google employee posted on the Google Fi Help Center forums that the promotion "is no longer available on fi.google.com or store.google.com. She wrote: "Even though we ran out of gift cards, don't worry-- we have other exciting deals for you." She pointed to the $200 Fi service credit mentioned above. Initially, the company stated that the promotion would end at 11:59pm PT, which no doubt will leave many frustrated would-be customers who thought they had longer to make up their mind and complete the purchase. That, coupled with the fact that the deal was much better than original Pixel 3 pre-order deals, makes this promo a bit of a tough pill to swallow for core Google fans - though it was no doubt successful for the company.

Anyone know of any clear cases for the Pixel 3 that aren't fingerprint magnets? The black Pixel 3 sexy af and I don't want to hide it behind a case but i want the protection a case provides. Every clear case I have ever had has just been a damn fingerprint magnet and I hate that.
Shawn Hunter Ive been using Spigen (sp?) going back to the N6, so 4 phones. Used to buy both thin +Neo Hybrid for each phone, now on thin fit, as it's lower profile. They have a couple of clear versions too. Caveat - I read a while back that translucent cases may have issues when using the flash in photos because of how light disperses through the clear material on the back. Obv a very small concern overall.
Might have to get one of their thin fit cases since they simulate the appearance of the back of the phone.
It has now been a week since my girlfriend ordered her Pixel 3. FedEx sent it back to Google without attempting to deliver it for some reason and Google has no clue where the phone is. Google and FedEx have no idea what happened and Google has no record of receiving it. Yay

There were like daily delivery horror stories on the pixel subreddit the past few months. Seems weird since I don't remember any issues like that with the first two pixels or anything.
