Nah, I get it. I’m getting that way with The Fighter and the Kid. It’s my favorite podcast but I can only take so many gay/dick jokes.
We talking podcast or real life lol But seriously it’s the best podcast, don’t care. I don’t miss them. I am also very intrigued with the new intern cat.
A good pod carousel is important. I pull something else up and give whatever it is a rest for a while when I notice annoying tendencies that start to ruin it for me.
Rogan TFATK Theo's YMH Diaz podcast Marin every now and then D'Elia every now and then Bert's every now and then
I have to mix up my type. Rogan YMH TLPOTL Radiolab MeatEater This American Life More Perfect Serial Monday Morning Podcast Shuffle between other true crime pods I should listen to Diaz and D'Elia more. Used to listen to Marin a lot but god damn is he a whiny bitch. D'Elia is super super underrated. Just a hilarious human. Also All Things Comedy on YouTube is awesome. Bert's cooking show (Something's Burning) and Comedians Playing Poker are enjoyable and now they're adding other shows.
Lot of people apparently dislike The Last Podcast on the Left on TMB but I think it's great for super stupid and dark humor from some mid 30s drunk/stoned comedians. Radiolab and This American Life are both great for random stories of normal people. Radiolab gets more sciency sometimes. MeatEater is legitimately an awesome podcast. Must listen for me because Steve Rinella is a very smart dude and they get a bunch of different people on that sort of tangentially have to do with hunting (politicians re: conservation, authors, game wardens/game and parks people, wildlife biologists, vets, etc). More Perfect is another NPR one but on the Supreme Court. Sounds boring but they go into the history behind some of the most important cases in the United States and how they impact our lives. MMP is Burr's.
That pod has severely impacted my life. I can't hear anyone say "try it out" without laughing. I'm also fully addicted to saying "Good Morning Julia" and "full chrottle"
Diaz has said since the day he recorded it that he ate a huge dick and wished Netflix would lose the tape. I’d agree it’s far from his best work. He finally said on rogans podcast this week that he psyched himself out by listening to Mulaney’s special a week before he recorded. He stupidly tried to punch up the writing days before with basically no chances to fine tune it. He ended up fucking himself big time. I hope he gets another shot, but I listen to his podcast enough he’s kinda already stepped all over a lot of his punchlines. I do enjoy his podcasts though...as long as I’m willing to not fact check his stories.
YMH is the best, wasn't sure anyone else listened to it. It's so beautifully immature. I've almost given up hope on a King AssRipper reemergence (his "storyline" got me hooked") but then the 100 orgasms a day guy showed back up as a tranny recently, so I'm holding out hope. Quick revisit: It's still so wrongfully funny...
I started listening to YMH maybe a year ago, listened to 4-5 episodes and it was so full of inside jokes that I could understand I decided to start up at the beginning with their first podcast. I’ve got 286 under my belt. Couldn’t recommend that path enough.
Joe's scheduled to have Anthony Cumia from the Opie & Anthony show on his podcast soon. Joe credits Anthony with kickstarting his podcast career, so it'll be interesting to see if Joe asks Anthony how he become such a trashy piece of shit in such a short amount of time. Anthony got fired in 2014 because he's a twitter-addicted racist. All of the former opie and anthony fans have completely turned on him and will be doing their best to get Rogan to address some of Anthony's issues instead of just palling-around for however long.
Joe’s podcasting studio is a bit of a safe place for social media racists tbh. As long as they’re not blatant he’ll make excuses for them
Anthony was always Long Island white trash, he just reached the why hide it stage on richness. That and Obama’s election broke his racist mind.
I think he's reached the "not rich anymore" stage of richness now. His company is run by a dumbass ex-cop who has no idea what he's doing. I'm sure his family leaches off of him, since they're all long island trash that feels entitled to his money.
Hi Hitler, what's your pronoun? I didn't know there was a YMH audience here. Just dished out some quick likes itt. Thanks, Jeans.
Jordan Peterson was on yesterday. One of my guilty pleasures is watching people on YT completely shred him apart on the dumb shit he says on Rogan's pod. Next few days will be fun.
YT? Also, I really don't get why JR has him on this much. I get that they are close friends and all. But isn't this like the 3rd time this year?
My bad dude. That makes total sense. I find myself watching certain clips of JRE nowadays. Very rarely do I watch his full show. The last one that kinda turned me off to JRE was the Christina P interview.
Rogan does what, 4 podcasts a week usually? Expecting every one to be a home run is asking a little much. I appreciate that he exposes me to people I never knew existed. He had Bret Weinstein (the white guy who was fired for not leaving campus when asked to leave by the student body because he was white)'s brother, Eric on the other day. Dude comes off as a genius, they got into a lot of complex shit that I had never heard about but held my interest. Side note, I read Rogan makes $30K per podcast. And he does 4 a week. fucker makes $120K a week on that podcast alone??? Then he does the MMA hour podcast, and the fight companion, and his standup. Powerful Joe Rogan.
The problem is he's hit this weird niche where he rags on social justice warriors literally every single podcast. Just shoehorns that shit in when it's not even the topic of conversation.
I'm cool with him having different types of ppl on his program. I also realize that this is a long form conversation and not a debate show. My issue is that JR has certain ppl on his show and he allows them to spew utter bullshit without challenging them on it (Tim Kennedy, Rubin Report, Candace Owens and Jason Peterson's daughter immediately come to mind). Just wait until he gets that Hello Fresh money fam.
true, and I have noticed that too. but he regularly shits on Trump also. I've noticed that, he will just throw in - well when we have a lunatic habitual liar running the country.... I think he's affected by what he sees as negativity in our current society, and SJWs and Trumptards and the far right and the far left are the huge majority of the representation of that.
Yeah. But you would think that there's this giant army of social justice warriors if you just listened to Rogan. He's taking a tiny portion of retards from twitter and extrapolating that into this nationwide movement that isn't actually happening.
They're all over the majority of college campuses in the nation. He's had plenty of people on from the left that say the same thing.
He's addressed this a little. When he had....what's his fucking name, the guy from Blink182, who thinks he talks to aliens.... Tom Delong. Rogan said everything that came out of his mouth was insane, and the entire time he was thinking what. the. fuck. He said similar things about Candace Ownes I think. And after that interview, Rogan said - he was saying Oh I have all this proof, and this is what it proves, but I can't show you or anyone any of the proof because my life would be in danger...it was all just nonsense. but he can't sit there and challenge him over and over and over. On some level his "job" is to ask relevant questions and let the guest explain their position. he does challenge people and discuss things in some detail, but he also steps back and lets them explain their positions without having to justify every thought or belief. But agreed, he will have people like Peterson on a lot. That obvious means he sees value in that, either he likes him, agrees with him, thinks he offers good perspective, or, maybe he just generates more clicks.
Another thing that's kind of annoying about JRE is that he only grabs bits and pieces of story. For example, he mentions the dad in Indiana or Kentucky that dressed up his kids as Nazis for halloween. He doesn't realize that this dude is an admin for the dailystormer.
Yea, that is often the argument, but there is a counter argument that, even if it's a small group or movement, it's permeated into higher learning. That it may not be something you and I encounter on a daily basis, but the seeds are being sowed and roots are growing. And, at the end of the day, it' snot a good thing. It's like the KKK, they have a minute membership, but that doesn't stop anyone from saying - this is a disgusting group of people. The argument you made always reminds me of this video from Yale
THEY'VE OVERTAKEN COLLEGE CAMPUSES THESE SNOWFLAKES. 1) Who gives a rat's ass because they're almost entirely in departments that don't matter. 2) You widely publicizing this on a giant medium is giving it more credence than it deserves. College campuses have always been liberal places. This isn't new. This is just the newest iteration of the thing that has been happening since the 60s all around the country. And quit ragging about it on every. fucking. podcast.
you can make the same argument for the KKK. They are a tiny group of people who have zero influence over anything beyond their tiny little circle of morons. Are you critical of people who denounce and criticize the KKK? College campuses have always leaned liberal, but they have increasingly become almost exclusively liberal, and they are silencing non-liberal voices. Those are relatively new developments.
The worst and best thing about rogan is I base listening solely on his guest and given it’s the 1-2 guests for the entire episode it’s easy to decide whether to listen to the entire thing or not at all
These people aren't trying to hang or kill people so that's a stupid comparison. And lol no they are fucking not. Did you go to college? I feel like the people who are ragging on this as some sort of new development didn't actually attend college (like Joe).
Right, that's not what I did. A) we were not talking about students, we are talking about social justice warriors B) I compared criticism of a relatively small and non-influential group. C) smart people can compare 2 things by their similarities, while also understanding that those similarities do not mean the 2 things are exactly alike. Can you? anthrax and flour are both white powdery substances. OMG this guy wants to bake a cake with anthrax what an idiot!!!! ehh.....what??
