Buying her motorcycle gear but going to do that with her. Just going to get some cute small thing for the actual day of.
2 Parsons chairs for the dining room, Fleetwood Mac tix, bed sheets, new insoles for Uggs, emulsion blender, and coffee. Done.
She got new couch and love seat that will be delivered this month...so, all she’ll have to open on Christmas is a new touch less trash can.
Wife been bugging for some new living room furniture and a new stove So I am thinking one of those, just not sure how I'm gunna wrap them
Wife wanted a server for our dining room that we never use. So that.. A piece of furniture that we will never use.
Nothing. We both want a new PlayStation 4 and Apple TV so we just decided to get them and call them our gifts to each other.
we did the west carribean on rccl . and we might try ( might ) go on the new edge for celebrity cruise lines ????????? hint , hint .
Spent 12 days around Thanksgiving in Italy, so we'll probably go light on the gifts this year. We did splurge on several pieces of interesting and colorful ceramics at a little shop in Siena, and we justified the spending by saying that those would be our Christmas gifts to each other. Heartily recommend this charming place if you're ever in Siena: www.roscoart.com
So her grandfather just got put in hospice care. I'm transiting thru Kuwait on my way home and I found this old brass compass made in London in 1941, which is around when her grandfather was serving in Egypt with the British Army in WW2 so I picked it up.
My wife thinks of herself as a practical person, so beyond a vacation or something similar she wants household items. Her Amazon list is filled with Tupperware, storage containers, a couple of new appliances, and all sorts of minor kitchen bullshit. It's easy to make her happy, but that shit is boring for me to watch her open.
Don’t know yet. Every time I offer her what I think is a good idea (like a new laptop) she shoots it down because it’s too practical. She mentions she’s like a new purse or jewelry, but I sure as shit am not picking something out knowing she has a 95% chance of asking me for the gift receipt within 3 seconds of seeing my selection.
Bros - this is OT for this thread but had my iPhone 8 stolen in Miami over the weekend...recommendations on the best place to get a used / refurbished / cheap iPhone 8?
If you want more excitement, you could get her some dual-use stuff, like a wine stopper that she can use as a butt plug
What would be awesome is to get the ring, kinda let it slip to some of her friends that you are gunna ask her on Christmas then dont actually do it until the day after.
A nice hardcover copy of Dune with gold pages, because we both love the series and a few crust punk garments. A Nausea hoodie, Civil Disobedience t shirt and a Dystopia shirt. I got a few others that might be too big, I’ll just keep those for myself.
Some job applications. Woman needs to starting putting her 3, THAT'S RIGHT, FUCKING 3, degrees to use.
I’ve gotten my wife a couple of things this year, but the best decision appears to be a Dyson stick vacuum. I ordered from Dyson’s website during their Cyber Monday sale, so the price was discounted. I had it delivered to my office and it arrived yesterday. Then another one arrived today. I checked my inbox and confirmed I only ordered one. Then I checked my credit card statement to make sure I wasn’t double-billed, only to find that I haven’t been charged at all, even though the policy says they charge payment on date of shipment (4 days ago). So it looks like I’ve gotten two Dysons for free.
