Anyone own or used a Launch Monitor. Thinking about buying one, how can you use the info to help you?
If you understand the numbers and know how to change your swing to change them, they’re awesome. 99% of golfers would just be better off with a lesson package though.
I have been reading reviews on golf wrx and have been reconsidering going to club champion. A bunch of complaints about club pricing and the track man showing stats that don’t necessarily mesh with real life ball flight.
Schneiderjans talked about this on the NLU pod posted today. He said he hit his gamer and then tried this and picked up 5 mph ball speed
The marketing behind the driver - “flash face” - suggests he would be getting higher ball speeds through better smash factor, but his Trackman results show close to 1.51 smash factor across the board, even with the old driver. It’s actually the clubhead speed where he saw gains. Leads me to believe the new face technology is nothing revolutionary, but if everyone gets faster swing speed with the driver, then that’s a good thing. That seems unlikely though.
Shot 69 today and lost by FIVE. Best 30 bucks I’ve ever lost. Buddy of mine put on an absolute show - it’s a blast watching people go that low.
When you played in January, do you remember about what time it gets too dark to play? We land at about 11am and are looking at playing that day so I'm wondering how late of a tee time I can reasonably book to allow us time to get around and possible flight delays. I was thinking we wouldn't want to tee off much later than 2pm, guessing it's getting dark by 6 at the latest Edit: tentative plan is land on Wednesday at 11am, play Talking Stick at 2pm that day. Go to the tournament on Thursday and Friday. Play Troon North 8:30am Saturday, fly home at 5pm that evening
I really dont remember it being an issue. We played 36 a few days where we had to travel between courses so I would think we wouldve teed off around 1-2pm for the second round and it was fine.
You will be fine. And give yourself a little extra time to get to Troon on Saturday. Traffic is always a mess on Saturday of the Waste Management.
Both Talking Stick and Troon have times open on both their courses...any opinion on which is the better course for both clubs?
Can't go wrong with either Troon course, it is a pretty amazing place. I prefer North at Talking Stick.
Anyone in here get duped into paying for The Match prior to the paywall issue on BR Live? I thought I saw they were issuing refunds automatically but I haven’t seen mine yet so I’m wondering if others have gotten theirs
Comcast automatically gave me a refund without me having to ask. Just an awesome move by an awesome company.
Has anyone checked out what a round at TPC Sawgrass costs right now? Fucking $550. Playing there Tuesday and thankfully not paying that. I like the course but god damn that is quite absurd.
Wow. That's one of the longer player/caddy relationships I'd guess. ZJ announce who's on his bag now?
From golfweek Per The Caddie Network, Johnson is expected to hire Brett Waldman as Green’s replacement. Waldman has caddied for Charley Hoffman.
I’ve got a work conference in the area next summer and was thinking about playing it, but just can’t bring myself to pay that much.
No clue how this happened but a guy had his clubs stolen overnight at Q School and is now playing the final round with a set from the pro shop
