Yes, they did it again, this time answered like 4 questions before Fox, Mickie and Dana ran out. Also having Lucha House Party having a 3 on 1 match as "faces" which is just asinine.
I complain a lot about story lines just disappearing and having no conclusions. Raw is finally following up on a bunch of story lines, just they are from last weeks shit.
FSU game just ended, switched to raw for a second, dean ambrose is walking to the ring with a bunch of guys all wearing gas masks...5 seconds, may be quickest I've ever tuned out of RAW
He took his gas mask off randomly in the middle of his promo. Guess it was too difficult to talk with the stupid thing on.
Can't remember which member of the Revival it was, but it was one of them. I wasn't really paying attention to it.
Saw that ROH signed a wrestler named PCO, aka Pierre from the Quebecers. Holy shit, cant believe hes still wrestling
Rhyno retired. He was a fun guy in ECW and the InVasion days, but during his second run he was as wide as he was tall and couldn't really do much. There were few things better than Heyman shouting "GORE!" on commentary in 2001, though.
Figured as much when I saw he lost a loser gets fired match last night to Heath Slater. Very odd to book that, but makes sense that he would want to try and get his tag partner over on his way out. Not that it worked, but at least Slater got a win.
I ended up watching RAW this morning as I got ready for the day... Fast forwarded past a bunch of stuff but the show may be just as bad as last week. What they ended up doing to this Dean/Seth feud and how they have turned dean into this wacky hate the fans heel may be worse than the pandering suffering succotash shit they handed Roman. If this feud big swerve is Rene cheated on Dean with Seth or some lame shit like that I'll officially take RAW off my DVR. Luch dudes are fun but how is 3 baby faces vs 1 heel going to get them over? Makes no sense. 11 segments of Baron is gonna keep viewers tuned in Nia... screaming into the mic. WTF is that promo. She's so awful. Speaking of awful Ronda in ring talking shit is right up there. And she's the Cena of calling out spots. They are on a mission of turning Dolph heel/baby more often than BigShow. Nice how a big breakup like that is built over one TV break and some reason the feud is Finn vs Drew and not Drew vs Dolph. Poor dolph. Move The Revival to Smackdown... poor guys The only interesting thing on the show is what they did with Heath and this ref storyline. It likely results in him vs Baron where he puts him over even though the fans will once again invest into heath and want to see him win.
He's more over the skits he does with his manager than his in ring work. I'm curious how he's booked in ROH. ROH also basically came out and said that The Bucks and Cody are gone once the contracts are up and they expect the rest of the crew to bail once the deals are up in a year or so. Will be interesting to see if ROH tries to scoop up more indy talent with exclusive deals. And go away with talent sharing with AEW, Impact, MLW and NJPW all becoming more relevant.
I think the awkward back and forth Vince makes Rene do with Graves is exactly setting up for a Rene is a whore angle, while Vince cackles in the gorilla position. It's pretty amusing they has Dean do a monster heel move when he turned than proceeded to book him doing goofy shit with a Bray Wyatt stance of get beat up.
Mark Henry was on today instead of Bully Ray, and opened the show saying Raw was a "vast improvement" this week. Lol, shocker
She's not over enough yet, but they are definitely building her and Mandy Rose up, so I could see her in 2019 becoming champ at some point.
So far the heels have advocated for climate change and drinking responsibly. Solid heel subjects . Joe was awesome though.
Reading Stroud's best and worst of Unforgiven 98 just highlights how purely fun the Attitude Era was vs today's product... I had forgotten that Austin counted his own pin and declared himself the winner. That's so baddass and silly at the same time. You would never see someone do that today. Who could do it and it not come off as eye-rollingly stupid?
