We could only hope. Best possible scenario for the rest of this season is the offense tanks, Sark gets fired and we get a top 5 pick
I know he’s running for his life, but Ryan has underthrown a WR by several yards at least a dozen times today.
Serious question from someone who has always been behind Matt Ryan. Should we be looking to draft a QB in the next year or two?
He is signed for four more years after this year. One or two years out seems too soon out considering all the other holes on the team.
Honestly, we're playing for nothing more than a high draft pick. I, for one, am glad he didn't house that.
I agree, but it’s just maddening. Dude hasn’t even shown any sort of promise, nor did he do anything to deserve the job in the first place.
Really sucks that our next 3 are against AZ, CAR and TB. Only CAR has any incentive to actually win. Let’s please, PLEASE not go hard in these games. We’re in a great spot for the draft. I know that NFL teams don’t technically tank, but screw that, let’s tank. Every win directly hurts out future at this point. Don’t be stupid DQ. Go talk to Blank and tell him the plan, get 1 more year with a healthy squad, a top 3 pick and a new OC (yea right)
So just looking at a couple mock drafts, and one of them that popped up first is such a typical ATL pick I’m worried it might come true. Clelin Ferrell at 9. Write up says “needs to get a little stronger and stouter against the run to see regular snaps, but can have an impact as an explosive situational sack artist”. This is why it’s so important we don’t screw up and win a few of these last 3. We do not need a 1-2 down, situational player. We need a 3 down game-changer. I’d rather legitimately throw some games than watch us reach with another pick in that 8-10 range.
Defense is bad. Offense is bad. There's a lot we need that can't be found in just one draft. 1st order of business is canning Sarkisian.
Offense can be fixed to at least top 10 status with just a non-potato OC. OL help is needed for sure, but we can be top 10 even without that. Defense will get better just with injury returns, but we desperately need at least one impact guy in this draft. Hard to remember, but as shitty as the falcons have been this year, they were essentially 4 plays away from starting 7-1. If the falcons fire Sark and get somebody competent, if we get a little luck on the injury front and hit on some impact guys in the draft, we can absolutely make a 2016 type run next year. We can also follow up with another season like this and start selling off pieces for a full rebuild. Neither would surprise me.
Was at the game yesterday sitting right behind our bench, it was painfully obvious we did not care about winning the game / were prepared for the game. We need to lose so that's great, I just wonder if this team can be saved with our current coaches next year
I'm in my company's suite so it's all you can eat and drink for free for me. I checked ticket prices out of curiosity. You can get in for $30.
