Do you mean the Dow? Because it was just up 300+ points yesterday. Still up 1.25% YTD and down about 4% since October which was the high.
i have about $25k in the june 2019 $3 puts. avg cost is .04 and they're trading around .10 now. bought some jan 4 2019 $8.50 puts on monday and sold them today for +60%
My Vio investment account has been making a steady 2.25% Could be because it’s a savings account, but I don’t like to get hung up on semantics.

I just meant like a tutorial. I already have money in my TDA account and what not. I just don’t understand how it works when I’m trying to put in an order on a put. Do I want the strike price to be higher or lower than what it’s trading at? Then there’s the “bid/ask” options, etc. My GF works there but her ability to explain it to someone with minimal knowledge/needs visuals is woat
