When we play Wisconsin, it makes me think of what it must have felt like to play against my high school in basketball.
if thiam is going to be this passive on the court he is going to have to sit. It is painfully obvious Harper should be getting his minutes. He gives solid effort defensively, but you can’t play 4 on 5 on offense.
at the risk of posting something that will age poorly... ...i'm pretty ok with maryland hiring locksley. he is a great recruiter but has done virtually nothing as a head coach. i was stationed in new mexico when he was the head coach there and they were awwwwwful. totally recognizing the depths to which we've fallen, they were still below our last season. let's hope he spent more time at the buffet than listening to saban during his time at bama.
Seton Hall upsets Kentucky in MSG and we’re struggling with Fordham in a shoebox arena in the Bronx. What a shit first half.
Ok I’m done for the season with this team. I wasted my entire Saturday trekking up to the fucking Bronx for this shit.
Sounds like Adams to Iowa. Fuck ash..can't stand that we have to follow another year of this bullshit.
This is very late on the Fordham loss, but this is a perfect example of why we need Jacob Young. It's good to be lanky, but Geo is just too tall to defend small, quick points. Same thing happened with Cassius Winston. This is also what concerns me the most about Mulcahy at the collegiate level.
Am I supposed to be excited that Baker is joining the staff again? A guy who was a so-so recruiter who didn't want anything to do with being here the first time around..woo hoo.
I’m not saying I’m thrilled but it does seem like best case scenario might be playing out for who we can hope for. Yusef Terry is on campus right now. We’re clearly going to go hard after some jucos and grad transfers. If Art could somehow, someway, learn to throw to one of our receivers next year we could be a good team. Not competing with the blue bloods but with some others
1st of all, King Artur Szitkowski, Lord of the Rocket Arm, Earl of Sharing the Ball Betweenth Both Teams, was probably 5% of our problem last year. Secondly even if the Good and Fair King could perfectly calibrate the laserbeams that come from his right shoulder to the hands of our WRs, over 75% of catchable balls would be dropped by what was probably the worst WR core in NCAA history. Wormley, Melton, Hayek, Jabbie, Jones, and Lewis couldn't run a route to save their lives and in the accidental case that they were open, their cinder block hands guaranteed an incompletion.
Nah, he's a high level player in any Schiano class. The Midwest recruiting guy on 247 thought he's the most underrated player in all of Ohio and looked as good or better than OSU's rb commit at the OSU camp last summer. He's pretty damn good and just got a huge rankings bump by 247.
I'm sure he's a perfectly good recruit, but the fact that he is the cornerstone of our class is laughable. Idc how underrated he is, he has exactly one other P5 offer.
Listen, as someone who will never stop rooting for the team I’ll always try to see the positive. Considering I was afraid the class (whoever has other options) might all abandon ship, I’ll choose to be happy things might end up on a better note than I thought. I also don’t try to compare ourselves to the Michigan’s and OSU. They are simply on a different level
And I apologize for being such a negative Nancy, but I foolishly convinced myself that the basketball team was going to be better than it was. At this point I'm an all-time low with my allegiance to Rutgers athletics. I have been attending games in both sports regularly for 18 years now and I honestly can't take it anymore.
I agree that there should be higher rated players in this class and fans shouldn't make it out like he is a top 50 national player or anything but he is a bit of a late bloomer which is why he lacks offers. For perspective, the guy rated right below him in the 247 state Ohio rankings is a Michigan commit with offers from Clemson, Oregon, MSU, Arkansas and about 20 more schools.
If anything things are looking more promising than not tomorrow. Seems like there is some smoke around whether Young actually signs with MSU tomorrow...
Everything pointing to Young flipping to us as this point. I think he announces at 5. And getting the WR Washington is very big!
Adams signed..still surprised. Showed a lot of honor not flipping to iowa. Crazy how we can get an OOS kid to show that loyalty but a guy like marsette who we help get eligible and is right in our backyard stabs us in the collective dicks. All of our commits are 3 star on 247
