Spoiler I just realized there are some outfits in the game that Arthur can never wear because the legendaries don’t unlock until after Chapter 6
So I’ve basically just been riding around hitting dead eye/tracking whatever it is and finding so much crap I didn't know was around. Different plants, animals, dreamcatchers, and a couple more dinosaur bones. I like this.
yeah, that was the one I went to look for last night and what made me think of this. Suppose the 9 challenge thing is doable before the end of the storyline, though the Gator, Tatanka Bison, and Cougar are not.
Fucking berries man. I'm stuck on 2 and haven't found anything besides raspberry and evergreen huckleberry (haven't looked that hard though)
I randomly found raspberries, evergreen huckleberries, and wintergreen berries. I can't find blackberries.
i keep going back to my pre-order horse. that thing is twice the size of the other horses i have and i just look silly on the small ones compared to the pre-order one.
Got the Golden Turkoman after riding the white arabian almost all game and I don't think I could go back to the Arabian. It's like riding a big cat.
Have had the white, black, and rose grey Arabians and loved all of them. Currently using the amber Missouri Fox Trotter and am a big fan of it as well. Definitely way less skittish than the Arabians. I've also spent way too much time researching mythical horses to name them after.
I'm on hour 2 of a rabbit hunt trying to get 3 perfect pelts for the stupid master hunter challenge. Ridiculous.
Lillies. Typo there. Not canned strawberries. There's blackberries, raspberries, evergreen huckleberries, and Wintergreen berries or huckleberries something like that
Is crafting of certain things limited by game progression? Like, I have the recipe for the exploding arrows and all of the ingredients...but it doesn't come up as an option to craft at the fire.
1. Need to be at least to or past chapter 3. 2. Make sure you have actually read the recipe from your satchel. 3. Try just using the crafting tool instead of actually setting up camp and crafting by the fire.
Word to the wise...if you hunt the Legendary Panther...that mother fucker will jump out of trees to kill your ass.
The sharpshooter challenge to shoot five birds from a moving train is stupid. Nice way to get the law on your ass for a train robbery.
The hard part is finding the cougars, killing them with the bow isn't that bad as long as you don’t panic.
Go to the forest west of Strawberry to the west of the E in "West Elizabeth" on the map. There is usually an indicator showing there are cougar and boar in that area. Go to the boar icon on the map. Camp there on the east side of the road, above the fork. Sleep until morning. Wake up, ride back and forth hunting small game until attacked by a cougar. Rinse and repeat until complete.
I found the serial killer. Brought him to the cops. He attacked the cop and I didn't stop him so the cop killed him and didn’t give me a reward :(
Is Online worth it? Just finished up the game. Major Spoilers: Spoiler If I have to play as John and can’t go back and get 100% as Arthur, I’d rather invest the majority of my game time into Online. Might finish off the Legenday Animals and looks for some cool guns, but that’s it.
From what I've seen, online is just more micro transaction bullshit. I won't ever be able to dedicate enough time (and wont spend the money) to enjoy it so I'm going to stick to single player.
Burned through the end of chapter 4 and most of chapter 5 last night. What a weird twist that took. Nice that they packed up your guns and shit for when you return.
So I tried to do the "Rob 4 stores in one day" challenge last night. Took me forever to figure out that you need to rob the store, ride out into the country until you're not wanted anymore, then come back in and rob another. Town kept going into lockdown after I robbed the first one. Finally figured that out then realized there aren't 4 stores you can rob in Valentine. So I google it and decide okay I'll ride to Strawberry. Rob two stores in Valentine then ride to Strawberry and realize... FUCK! There's only one store in Strawberry you can rob. So, fuck it, I'll rob 2 in Valentine and 2 in Rhodes. Rob 2 in Valentine, ride to Rhodes, rob the gun store there then head to the General Store. Walk in and who is behind the counter? Spoiler: epilogue fucking PEARSON! (Who I don't even have the option to rob - I would have robbed him at that point) I just gave up at that point.
About Online: No way you should be punished for riding into town to sell a pelt and an animal carcas, only to lose it by some jackass that kills you from behind.
No idea if this is dumb luck but I had a run of 3-4 cougars in the NE corner of the map -- from Doverhill to Willard's Crest. I was carrying a skinned animal on my horse, that might have made them spawn more.
I can’t say that I’m happy about this. Sometimes I wait for the user to get to the butcher and then I take the carcasses off his horse while he walks up and then I sell them before they realize it.
It started out just as a joke as I took a carcass off a friend. I then stepped my game up and took one off another person. I had 3 friends with me, dude took out his gun after he realized his carcass was gone and my friend blasted him. He then blasted his horse. Totally uncalled for. Now I just do it when I’m feeling frisky, but it’s definitely hilarious. Recommend you all do that atleast once
annoying as fuck that seemingly the only place to get iguana skins is where the cops have a huge boner to find you and you can't make the bad ass satchel until end game
Yeah I saw quite a few but none were pristine and all I had was like shotgun/rifle/repeater and you need a varmint rifle.
