I have the same issue with the stock earbuds but the AirPods were super snug and comfortable when I tried them on
This may not be legal depending on where you are driving. https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2016/10/31/is-it-legal-to-wear-headphones-while-driving/
I find the Bluetooth system through the car to be cumbersome, and it’s hard to hear who you are speaking to both ways. So I use headphones for calls.
I used headphones under my helmet when I had a motorcycle and almost died from not being able to hear what was going on around me AMA
Cumbersome? Not sure what setup you have but I have some steering wheel controls and my phone auto connects to car Bluetooth as soon as I crank up the car. All I have to do is select the music I want and I’m good to go.
Just picked some AirPods, there okay... not bad. Think I like my Bose 35’s better, like the full head head phones.
Anyone know when the Ankers of the world will start making a Lightning to USB-C cable? From what I am seeing, its only available from Apple.
It is available from shit brands, the Apple one is the only one that can carry the higher wattage for the fast charge. Its so delightful though on my XS Max to go from 2% to 52% in 30 mins.
lol. yeah, can't upgrade to Mojave and, sometime in the last week, Apple did something to Safari that I can no longer open it on my MBP.
if you're still on 10.10 try this https://www.macrumors.com/2018/12/14/itunes-12-8-1-breaks-safari-on-osx-yosemite/
So my very old iMac had almost 350 Gb of photo library. I’m trying to move these off to an external drive. Anyone have any advice? For some reason I have a .migrated library as well.
Newest ipad base model on sale for $100 off ($230 down from $330) at Wal Mart. My old one is so slow I hardly use it anymore and strongly considering a Christmas present for myself.
1. plug in drive 2. initiate transfer 3. wait for a few days 4. ???? 5. profit I'm not sure what you're asking.
It contains everything in a “photos library” file that is a package of stuff. Do I just copy that monster file? I found out how to get into that and there is a pictures folder. The last option I think is to use the photos app to export images. I probably want to externalize all my pictures and stuff to an external drive but was curious if anyone has a good solution or if that is not preferred.
just move the Photos library file to your external just know if you want to view those photos or import/sync from that library, you'll need to access it from your external
It finally happened. I have glass screen protector and a thin silicone case. Phone X dropped from grocery cart and landed just on the bezel edge cracking screen but not screen protector. Luckily I bought through apple including applecare. $29 repair.
Idiotic question re: icloud back ups, TIA. I deleted and re-added my work email account to my iphone using the native mail app because I changed my password but wasn’t getting any new emails for that account. That’s all cool and good, but before I added it back, I noticed that a lot of my recently added contacts were no longer on my phone. Once I re-added my work email account, all my contacts were back. Does that mean that those contacts are backed up via my work email? A lot of the contacts that I lost momentarily have no connection to my work email and are just phone numbers I have added. I don’t want them backed up with that account. Help computer.
that means they are on that account's server iCloud cannot backup data that's in accounts (bc it doesn't technically exist on your phone, it just reflects what is on that server), all it backs up is the memory that you added accounts and will ask for their password to re-enable them
How do I make sure all my contacts are synced to my iCloud account or personal email account and not my work email account, because I have ran into this problem too.
you'd need to download a copy of them off of that account and then import them into iCloud (you can do this on iCloud.com by clicking contacts>gear icon>import vcard, and if you need vcard format just google a converter)
just make sure after you do that you turn off contacts for that account on your phone otherwise you will see duplicates
Did you guys see this? 12.1.2 leading to MAJOR issues https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordon...le-data-cellular-4g-cannot-load-internet/amp/
do i need a third party app or site to download the contacts and email them to myself? not seeing a way to do it. thanks again.
i got airpods for christmas and they are about a billion miles ahead of every other bluetooth headphone i've used. they really crushed it with these.
depends on the host google, yahoo, etc have ways of exporting them usually through a gear icon or settings on the website if it's some kind of go daddy or private company site then im not sure
Yeah I literally spent the morning talking shit about how I’m not in love with my Apple products anymore, and then someone gave me airpods and I’m completely in love again. They’re perfect
settings>bluetooth>tap the "I" next to AirPods and you can set what double tap does for each AirPod in case you didn't know
For a few years I used my work phone as my personal phone. Then about a year or so ago I got a personal phone again. For some reason my personal phone cannot call or iMessage/text my moms phone. I have tried deleting the contact and we have even both gotten new phones since then. So basically I can’t contact her unless it’s from my work phone. Any ideas on how to fix this? She’s the only person that I have this problem with. I have tried just about everything.
I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic but I’ll see if that’s the case tomorrow when I see her. Trying to explain how to unblock someone over the phone to her now would be damn near impossible.
i was just being a jerk, but it could definitely be a possibility. hell, i dont even know how to look at the numbers ive blocked. edit: i found it "settings, phone, call blocking & identification" tho idk if it'll actually show a name or just the number, i've only blocked telemarketers.
With number spoofing by robocalls, it's possible she blocked that number before he got this new number.
My number never really went away. I had it on a google voice. I’m curious if that somehow fucked it up. It’s only her phone that has this problem though.
I'm having issues with mine. I switch back and forth between my phone and my iPad, and half the time I need to go into the Bluetooth settings for them to connect. I recognize this is probably the definition of 1st world problems, but it infuriates my 1st world ass every time it happens.
Anybody have experience with the dual sim phones? I’ve been carrying around a personal phone and a work phone for about 3 years now. Now that Verizon seems to have figured out their dual sim issues, I’m thinking about giving it a try.
Got an iPad for Christmas. Can't get Handoff to work with my personal Mac, works without a flaw on the work Mac. Made sure my personal Mac is compatible and it is. Bluetooth turned on for the computer and iPad, both connected to the same wifi network. Can't sign into messages or Facetime on the Mac. Even tried resetting the personal Mac and starting over from scratch but that didn't work either.
