More details, please. Will you be solo or with a group? Do you want to do a lot of wagering or mostly sit back, drink, and watch games? Do you like large, raucous MM environments or more tame ones? Will it be all 4 days?
Staying with my gf. There will be a group of guy but from what I’m gathering they like to hit the tables during the games so I’ll be wanting to post up and just watch CBB all day while gambling
Heading to Vegas the first week of March with a small group of guys celebrating a birthday. Staying at Caesars. Any must eat restaurants? Also, don't think we'll be the club type but would welcome any bar recommendations. Thanks in advance!
Nice. I arrive Wednesday night. I think I’m gonna fly back Saturday night. It would leave around 745 so like 1045 eastern I’m assuming all the games will mostly be over? Flights Sunday are ridiculous
Cosmo booked for that weekend. It was killer last year. The all you can drink deal with the private sportsbook was amazing. We got absolutely murdered but damn was that fun.
No. It's like a $300 ticket. They setup a few of the ballrooms upstairs on the Chelsea side and turn it into a massive viewing party with multiple open bars, a court for shooting around, and you can bring in food. We sat there for the Friday games last year, got in about 7 am and stayed through about halftime of the last session. Well worth it IMO as we spent way more than $300 on drinks alone on the other days. The private sportsbook was dangerous, though, with the in-game bets. Solid atmosphere, as there were ample people from the different schools playing with rooting interests aside from gambling. This was the setup when it was pretty busy, though it's hard to see the tables.
Nice. That price seems a little steep compared to what I’ve seen other places. I saw people mention all you can eat and drink at Hard Rock Cafe where they set up tvs for $125. That sounds tempting
HRC is off the strip though while the Cosmo is right in the center, so I'm sure HRC has to work harder to get people over there.
Devine if you're trying to do it on the cheap I'm sure there's a shit ton of stuff going on for it on Fremont Street. The vagabond people watching there would be an added bonus but you'd be hanging with the poors.
Apps make it so you don't necessarily have to be in a book, but this place isn't even in a casino. You can do better. That place will have no atmosphere.
Oh yeah just trying to help. Not sure what your budget or life goals are once you get out there. There's lots of expensive stuff in Vegas that's not worth it, so normally when I hear something like that that gets a positive review my ears perk up a bit. It's hard to find a good spot in a sports book - Planet Hollywood opened up a few conference rooms to put games on and take extra bets the one time I stayed there during it.
Yeah, I'm a Cosmo and center strip snob, so that's kinda all I know. There's a Hattie B's in there now, so this year that all you can drink plus that hot chicken is gonna be legit.
It’s really not as bad as I thought it would be. Decent food in 3 directions. Room was surprisingly updated and fairly quiet. Parking was also super convient since I had a rental.
Did the Cosmo viewing party have blackjack tables? Will be in Vegas 2.2 weekend. Taking ladyfriend to see Lady Gaga. Tickets were $900 each :/
yeah, they take care of the guy that runs our team we’ve stayed there every year since we started playing that tourney and he pays for all of our rooms so i’m not too upset it’s more about the difference in the atmosphere (lol what a terrible call jesus bama)
Pretty sure Cosmo has blackjack tables at their watch party. Three years ago I did Cosmo (before it was in the Belmont ballroom back when it was at the Chelsea theater) and they had $25 blackjack I’ve done the Planet Hollywood party the last two years and they have blackjack and craps.
There are so many options. The only one I went to when I lived in Vegas was at the Cosmo and EMAW FC set me up with that one. It was great and I recommend it. https://www.thelines.com/circa-las-vegas-largest-sportsbook/ Circa Las Vegas To Open The Largest Sportsbook In The World In 2020 Marc Meltzer January 11, 2019 2368 Reads On Thursday night, Derek Stevens introduced his newest casino project in Sin City. Circa Las Vegas will open in downtown Las Vegas in late 2020. The vision for the entire casino sounds great, but the Michigan native and huge sports fan saved the best for the sportsbook. Spoiler The Circa Las Vegas Sportsbook will be the largest in the world. The sportsbook will have two floors of stadium seating. The third floor of the sportsbook will feature a studio for the Vegas Sports and Information Network (VSiN). “When you think of a sportsbook … we want to create that ‘wow’ moment,” Stevens said during the introduction of Circa Las Vegas. “We want to create something that people don’t forget. For me, I’ll never forget that moment I walked into the Las Vegas Hilton (now Westgate) SuperBook. I looked around, and I thought to myself, ‘my god, this is the greatest place on Earth right here.’” He continued: “When you come close to the sportsbook you’ll see the VSiN studio overlooking the 3-story largest sportsbook in Las Vegas history. It’s going to make every guest that comes here want to take a picture and want to make a bet and want to go home and tell all their friends that they were there.” The world’s largest sportsbook The Circa Las Vegas sportsbook should become a destination sportsbook like the SuperBook at the Westgate. TheLines sat down with Derek Stevens last year to get an idea of what he plans to offer at the Circa Las Vegas sportsbook, and it’s nothing short of impressive. The sportsbook will occupy three floors and have the world’s largest TV screen. While the sportsbook might not be as wide as the Westgate SuperBook, it will certainly have height on its side with two floors of seating for the public and another level for broadcasts. There will also be five media studios. One studio will be dedicated VSiN while the others will be available for various broadcasts because Derek Stevens owns a 10 percent stake in VSiN. The partnership should increase his involvement with the sports gambling radio station. Circa Las Vegas’ sister property, the D, is the official downtown Las Vegas casino partner of the Vegas Golden Knights. Last year alone, the D hosted 30 different remote radio broadcasts including a week of “Ferrall on the Bench” during the week of the Super Bowl. March Madness pool parties The rooftop pool at Circa Las Vegas will be more than just a place to take a dip. The multilevel pool will double as an events center. There will be six different pools, a 125-foot TVand a capacity of 4,000 people. That sounds like a perfect venue for a Spring Break/March Madness party. When the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was repealed, some worried if this would doom the Las Vegas sportsbook business. That might have been exaggerated a little. While there should be some effect on business, this kind of great sportsbook and event space will offer a unique way to watch the games that no other city offers. New independent sportsbook operator The sportsbook at Circa Las Vegas has inspired Stevens to expand his sportsbook operation. Last year, Stevens hired Matt Metcalf, formerly of the Westgate SuperBook, as the sportsbook director for his properties. William Hill will no longer operate the sportsbook at the D. In fact, the current 12 seat sportsbook will eventually move. The William Hill kiosk at the Golden Gate will be gone before the summer. A new sportsbook will open at the Golden Gate casino, which is across the street from Circa Las Vegas. This sportsbook will become the hub of the new sportsbook operation for Stevens, in fact, expect to hear more about it soon. Circa Las Vegas Circa Las Vegas will be the first new casino construction in downtown Las Vegas since 1980. The casino-resort will occupy an entire city block and covers 1.25 million square feet. In addition to the massive sportsbook, the property will feature a two-level casino, 777 hotel rooms, numerous restaurants, a spa and more. Check out the promo video for Circa Las Vegas.

Spoiler DOWNTOWN’S ABOUT TO GET SOME NEW BLING! The new hotel-casino is scheduled to open in 2020 and sits on the site of the former Las Vegas Club. At Circa, our goal will be to create a destination resort in a historic part of the city, while showing guests the time of their lives. We plan to double down on the world-class service Las Vegas has always been known for while bringing personalized experiences to a new level.” From the looks of the place, he’s not kidding! PRETTY DAMNED SEXY. Over the last few years, the Stevens have collaborated on several ventures, including the D Las Vegas (formerly Fitzgerald’s), Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The Stevens have played an integral role in reshaping downtown Las Vegas, attracting new visitors and taking part in a recent wave of announcement projects, including a new hotel tower coming to Fremont Hotel & Casino and another at Downtown Grand, a block off Fremont Street Experience. These projects, coupled with the overhaul of the Fremont Street Experience Viva Vision canopy (to debut New Year’s Eve 2019) and Project Enchilada, and other initiatives, have made downtown Las Vegas the epicenter for where Vegas is going in 2019 and beyond!
