Always so fun to watch, not too excited about this Canadian team though. Lafreniere will be fun to keep an eye on but he won’t dominate, not ready yet. Other than that there’s a bunch of good players but they didn’t look very good in pre-tournament. Obviously doesn’t mean anything but still a little worried.
I'm looking forward to getting a look at Bouchard. He's obviously too good for the OHL and the Oilers need a PP QB more than maybe any team needs a player in any role. Wouldn't be surprised if he has a Chabot-like breakout season for them next year.
Seems to be kind of lost in all the Quinn Hughes hype, but Tyler Madden looks like a steal in the 3rd round right now. Having a really good freshman year at Northeastern with 15 points/6 goals in 14 games and has vaulted onto the US' top lines after being overlooked by the team in previous years. Also I really want someone to make a highlight tape purely of guys eating it trying to keep up with Quinn's edgework
It kinda sucks though, that game was usually on the 31 and was always so fun. With both teams usuallly advancing anyway and it just created a little bit more drama and bad blood
Yeah Madden has been good so far this season, he has some jets just like his dad. Say what you want about GMJB's signings and trades, his draft picks have been really good the past 2 years. I like how the Canucks have transitioned along with the NHL by drafting fast skilled guys. The Canucks team speed and skill has improved so much from 5 years ago, their team is going to be tiny though. If the NHL transitions back to less skilled big bodies they're fucked.

He's going to get at least 35 goals this year and was on pace for even more than that last year before he got hurt.
I was kind of thinking Guentzel would get around 5.15-5.35, so not too bad at 6. Hes defintiely worth it. Might have to get myself a guentzel Jersey now...my Schultz one is gathering dust.
Team too much for Guentzel and Boeser should get more than him. Goals >>> Assists. But I'm not sold on Guentzel, I see him settling more into a Nyquist type production.
Tampa is really good at setting picks in the neutral and offensive zones. rarely enough to be considered a penalty but constantly breaking guy’s strides.
That’s good coaching and a team that buys in. I never really watch Boston play but I am always amazed at patrice bergeron when he plays for team canada. He is always in a perfect position to help his teammates or be in the way of the other team.
