Humphries, Smith, Kwon, and Barber will likely get offers. I think Humphries and Smith could make more money if they opted to test the market though.
Joe Bucs Fan had an article the other day about what a piece of shit he has been off the field. If true I'm glad he's gone
His personality was never a forte, but he was used very poorly on offense and when he was actually thrown to deep, it was a poorly thrown ball. He and Jameis had zero chemistry and he just isn’t a fit when Jameis is at QB. There’s a reason he produced when Fitz was at QB and then reports of him requesting a trade once Jameis was announced as starter. A split is likely the best for both parties.
I mean, it was surprising that he returned this season. Seems like a good guy, but things like his reluctance to fire Mike Smith and revoking playcalling duties from Monken and then the offense laying an egg are why he’s out.
By all accounts Dirk is a solid dude. I don’t think anyone could’ve won with the current roster. Part of that is his fault. He and Licht both need to go.
I’d argue that Licht is worse. Ryan Jensen, Beau Allen, MJ Stewart, etc have all been terrible acquisitions, with the first two being grossly overpaid. Licht has had his better moments with Godwin, Kwon, et al but the failures heavily outweigh the successes
He’s okay. Most of us are honestly astonished at how he has gotten so many positive reviews. He appeared to be up and down. This nut job thinks he’s going #3 overall which is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen “It’s not a big surprise, as Taylor (6'5/349) is considered one of the best offensive linemen in this class, and helped Florida roll over Michigan in the Peach Bowl on Saturday. Reports from analysts like Charlie Campbell note that he has impressed with his size, mobility and ability to be more than a space-taker as a blocker. Campbell projects him to go third overall in his latest mock, but most analysts seem to believe he's going to be a mid-first round pick, with a chance to go higher, obviously, if he tests well.”
It’s weird because he never really dominated or showed he was a first round pick but he was solid. Think I read it’s a lot of stuff with him that amateur eyes like ours wouldn’t notice(elite footwork etc) that have the experts so high on him He’s solid though
Then again we’ve had shit offensive line coaching for years until Hevesy (I hope) showed up with Mullen. We’ve had a number of underperforming OL play for us and then go on to make NFL rosters and contribute so he could be similar to those guys. Has the size to be very good but his consistency could be better
That said, we’ve had a lot of OL that were shit at UF and turned into good NFL OL. The one season Taylor had of decent coaching, he turned in a pretty good season, so maybe he’s being judged on upside.
Hopefully Tanner Hudson can stick around, at least on the practice squad for a couple of years. He got called up the past few weeks.
He's been a RT his entire collegiate career. These top 10 projections are dumb. If he's there at 37, I'd say he's a take. He's got at least more talent and upside than Donovan Smith.
Seems a lot like Smith in my limited exposure. Big dude with talent who is inconsistent and doesn't always give great effort. Giving Donovan Smith $15M next year would crush my soul so I really want Williams at 5 and best CB available at 37.
