I’ve never even thought of him....but I’d be fine with the entire defensive staff being given a Viking funeral
Idk..had a helluva year last year but had a stacked roster this year and we’re huge disappointments Defensively we’d improve though...not that we could get any worse
My wife worked with his for a couple of years when he was up in Detroit. Met him a handful of times seemed like a good guy.
Let's give rizzi a go. Nothing as lazy as grabbing New England assistants. Becuase Patricia worked out so well this year.
I really go back and forth...but after gase and philbin just give me a personality I don’t want to punch in the face
I think Fangio would be a solid hire. He's been well regarded in the league for a long time as a DC. Not sure about his age.
Or how about a guy who isn't necessarily either but knows how to manage a team. I don't care if a hc is offensive minded as long as his offensive staff is and he knows how to let them do their jobs.
The Dolphins are expected to cut defensive end Robert Quinn (saving $12.9 million against the cap), defensive end Andre Branch (saving $7 million, with $2 million in dead money) and receiver DeVante Parker ($9.4 million cap savings). The franchise also is expecting to release or trade Ryan Tannehill, resulting in a cap savings of $13.2 million or $18.7 million, depending on the timing. A new quarterback will be pursued. And defensive tackle Akeem Spence ($2.5 million cap savings) and guard Ted Larsen ($1.9 million) also stand at serious risk. But Ross’ disclosure of a new approach in roster building also creates doubts about whether the Dolphins will re-sign unrestricted free agents Frank Gore and Cameron Wake. It also puts in doubt the Dolphins future of receiver Danny Amendola, a favorite of Gase who would have a $6 million cap hit if he’s on the team, no hit if he’s not. Among other veterans, decisions loom on guard Josh Sitton, safety T.J. McDonald and potentially others. Cutting Sitton, who sustained a season-ending injury in the opener, would result in $5 million in savings and a $2 million dead-money charge. Cutting T.J. McDonald would save only $1.4 million in cap space with $4.6 million in dead money; $3.6 million of his $5 million salary is guaranteed. Three other veterans who could be discussed: If Miami cuts receiver Kenny Stills, who had just 37 receptions this season, Miami could save $6 million in cap space but have $3.7 million in dead money with a post-June 1 designation. Cutting linebacker Kiko Alonso, with a post-June 1 designation, would save $6.5 million against the cap with a $1.8 million dead money charge. He was 10th in the NFL in tackles with 121. Cutting safety Reshad Jones is not realistic because $11.1 million of his $13 million salary for 2019 is already fully guaranteed. The Dolphins have $21 million in cap space, including $6.6 million in carryover space, but can clear out considerably more with many of the aforementioned moves
13. Miami Dolphins | Jeffery Simmons | DL | Mississippi State This defensive line needs help across the board, so this pick is about finding the best value and fit. Simmons is one of the most disruptive defenders in the nation, and he did it against some of college football’s best competition in the SEC. Off-field questions will loom large for Simmons throughout the process, but he’s talented enough to get top-10 consideration. 48. Miami Dolphins | Dexter Lawrence | DL | Clemson 78. Miami Dolphins | Anthony Johnson | WR | Buffalo 109. Miami Dolphins | Nate Herbig | OL | Stanford
First 2 picks on the DL, I like it. Then only use FA money to sign the best OL and then tank for Tua next year
It’s the success Nagy is having with Chicago that has ramped up peoples interest in the next chiefs OC
Point taken Also on Bears, it’s a bit suspicious Fangio is 60 and hasn’t had more HC opportunities. Potentially some red flags there.
I’ve never really understood the infatuation with Shaw. Solid coach, nothing that screams elite to me, even at the college level. Edit: actually, nm, his record is better than I thought. Pretty good at Stanford
Lets talk QB's since Tanny is as good as gone. Which QB (besides Haskins cause he wont be there at #13) would you want the Dolphins to draft? Drew Lock Will Grier Daniel Jones Ryan Finley other
I can’t talk myself into favoriting a single candidate that’s been confirmed to be interviewing with us They all just seem sub par
PFT saying Miami is expected to inquire about harbaugh today and speculates ravens will want 2 first rounders Fuuuuuuuck that
