Seeing the Shacks and Middle Kids tonight. Gf had to work so I’m flying solo. First time doing that for a concert.
Ended up meeting a guy who spends half the year in Austria, is opening some jujitsu studios, bought me a few beers, and we talked college wrestling. Would do again.

Any good finds for anyone off the lists that they didn’t listen to or know about? I like a few but my front runner is the No Age album. Fantastic.
this was probably the best album I listened to that didn't make my best of 2018 list I think Send Me is a particularly beautiful song

every year the staff at Nashville's best record store (Grimey's) put out their best of lists. I always look forward to these https://www.grimeys.com/staff-picks
I know we've tried the "album of the xxx" thing before and not done well but as the new year comes upon us does anyone want to try to do an album of the month? I think Cornelius Suttree has a list of those of us who post in here the most. Maybe we could do it on a month lag (start 1/19 with something released in 12/18).
missed this Jay Som single from a couple weeks ago. It was released on some Polyvinyl compilation back in May 2017 but now released digitally Jay Som - Turn the Other Cheek
and dear lord going through my Youtube channel subscriptions, I missed a new Chris Cohen track from a month ago holy shit he's back!!! Chris Cohen - Edit Out
I am down, I posted the same thing like a month ago. Do we even need another thread? Finally not sure if I missed ITT but Cass put out two songs in December.
25 albums Brooklyn Vegan is anticipating in 2019 http://www.brooklynvegan.com/25-albums-were-anticipating-in-2019/ Pitchfork with 33 albums they're looking forward to: https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/the-33-albums-were-most-excited-for-in-2019/ and Joe_Pesci some metal albums to be on the lookout for: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/13-metal-albums-were-anticipating-in-2019/
Looking forward to the Baroness album but I get worried when metal bands start talking about incorporating electronic music because 99% of the time it sounds lame
Glad to see Julia Jacklin listed in the other albums Brooklyn Vegan is looking forward too. Real excited for it.
maybe new Fleet Foxes in 2019 as well? https://consequenceofsound.net/2019/01/robin-pecknold-previews-new-fleet-foxes-album/
That'd be juicy. I eventually got into their more intricate sound, but I'd love to see them make some simple songs like were on the first album
I thought I remembered that, but went to wiki to refresh my memory and there’s no mention of this. Guess this is why my college professors got mad when I copy/pasted my papers from it
