ESPN always gets guys going to schools like Duke, Kentucky, and UNC to announce at a time slot that will draw better ratings, hence why I'm guessing it's MSU.
espn also loves Duke, so if he's announcing on espn, safe to assume he's going there. Also Evan Daniels and everyone else has said he's going there.
Now just waiting for the ultimate kick in the nuts for Stewart to change what people thought and he joins Carey at Duke.
what cornelius said, commitment wasn't a surprise, but the timeline got sped up a little compared to what he was saying and the whole being signed a week after the signing period had ended
SIAP, Keion Brooks update: Spoiler Now that Trayce Jackson-Davis is on board for Indiana, recruiting attention in the state fully turns to Keion Brooks Jr. Brooks, the La Lumiere senior and Fort Wayne native, is the No. 22 national recruit on the 247sports composite. After the 6-8 standout posted 23 points in a 72-63 win over Brownsburg on Saturday night at Danville, Brooks said a college decision is likely coming soon. “Within the next month or so,” he said, “I could see myself making a decision.” Will Brooks join Jackson-Davis and Cathedral senior Armaan Franklin in Indiana’s recruiting class? He admitted he was caught off guard by the timing of Jackson-Davis’ commitment on Friday, but not at all surprised that it was the Hoosiers. “I knew he was going to IU,” Brooks said. Brooks was at a shootaround at Danville on Friday afternoon when Jackson-Davis announced his commitment. When he returned to the locker room, his phone was “blowing up.” Included was a text from Jackson-Davis and one from Franklin that read, “…” — suggesting Brooks will be next. “It has an impact on my decision,” Brooks said. “’I’m very good friends with both of them. Me and Trayce played really well together in the EYBL. I have a relationship with Armaan playing against and with him all of these years. I’m becoming closer and closer with them every day. It’s good to have them there and they are good recruiters as well.” Brooks, who scored 40 points Friday night in an 88-65 win over Crispus Attucks, has taken official visits to UCLA, Indiana, Kentucky and North Carolina. He said he might reschedule a visit to Michigan State before deciding, “but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.” When asked about Indiana, Brooks gives a positive review. “The vibe I get from IU is that I’m a priority, of course, being an in-state kid,” he said. “Being at IU is a great place to be. Bloomington is a great college town.” It certainly would seem to help Indiana’s cause that Jackson-Davis said it is his “top priority” to recruit Brooks. Even before Jackson-Davis committed, he would send Brooks texts with red and white emojis. But for Brooks, the bond with Jackson-Davis goes beyond a friendship. There is a tangible on-court connection between the two. “At the end of the day, you see the lobs and back doors, but I feel like we are two high-IQ type of players,” Brooks said. “(We are) players who are willing to play off of each other. I think that is what helps me and Trayce succeed and play really well together on the court. Sometime me and him have a silent language on the court.” Brooks had said he thought he would likely commit before Jackson-Davis. But it will not be much longer. “You could say it’s the home stretch,” he said. “Things are starting to slow down for me. I’m starting to figure out the ins and outs and nuances of how things work at the schools. I feel like I’m inching closer to a decision.” In the meantime, he will be hearing from Jackson-Davis and Franklin. https://www.indystar.com/story/spor...ter-trayce-jackson-davis-picks-iu/2123787002/
our mod just posted an update saying it’s down to unc and indiana but he thinks the distance eventually wins out and keeps him home.
it'd be cool if he picked UNC because we could really use him next year /hard hitting analysis /bringing the / back
MSU told him to fuck himself bc Carey and Stewart were silent commits. We’re seeing how well that’s worked out thus far.
apparently he came close to committing right after his visit with us but the more time that passes without him doing so, the less likely it is. hoping for a miracle but would be surprised if it isnt yall
Hes pretty close with TJD and has gone on record this week saying that Trayce's decision will impact is own. We will see though, package deals rarely pan out.
Wendell Moore seems to think Isaiah Stewart will join him at Duke https://usatodayhss.com/2018/crown-...-moore-jr-confident-on-landing-isaiah-stewart
Our Rivals guy is going on record in saying he thinks Brooks is headed to IU, for whatever that's worth. They'd been a little gunshy on making that prediction for a while.
I assume it’s you guys or Tennessee for 2020 Keon Johnson? I had some hope it would be UVa for awhile but he removed the UVa pinned offer tweet a few months back
Yeah that's what we're hearing. Auburn was thought to be a leader for a while. I bet he ends up at VU
Johnson is actually visiting UT this morning and then driving to Nashville for the OM game. Gets to see 3 of the 4 teams recruiting him the hardest play in one day. UVA is the other team per the update we got
Cole seems to be close with a number of guys, but I've never heard of Mr Cockburn and there are zero threads on our board lamenting this recruiting loss
he was never even offered by unc. the only connection is he plays on the same high school team as cole
cole anthony on his ov to wake and last night he posted on his instagram story him hanging out with joey baker and zion in his hotel room. i know they have to realize he isnt going there but man that's a real fuck you to danny manning
Stewart to Washington http://www.espn.com/college-sports/...ewart-announces-commitment-washington-huskies
Lmao at Crean shitting on his existing players while copping one and dones. That should be an interesting team to watch.
