kinda seems like LeBron is on his way to another insane season. And yet all the MVP talk is around Giannis, Embiid, Kawhi, etc.
He literally could/should be MVP every season. They use to give it to Jordan every year....these days they forcefully share the wealth
Serious question do yall think you're getting anyone in FA? Seems like Durant went out of his way yesterday to steer FAs like Kawhi from going to LA talking about how toxic the environment is around Lebron. Its hindsight bias now but Definitely think they should have pulled the trigger on a kawhi trade before the season. You could have probably challenged this season.
The same people saying they won't sign any FA this offseason are the same ones saying they wouldn't get LeBron in the first place
If that's true and kawhi doesn't want to be here then he'd leave as a free agent and LA would have wasted the assets used to trade for him. Never quite understood the reasoning that you should trade for someone who will be a free agent because they won't come otherwise (as a FA). I mean, I get the reasoning, just don't think it's smart. These guys these days will leave money on the table if they don't want to stay. LA went through that with Dwight....luckily the only real asset lost there was Bynum who never played again.
Oh and not to mention, Pop made it very clear they'd never trade kawhi to LA no matter what they offered.
The flip side is Paul George. No chance he picks OKC if they never traded for him. Likewise Toronto now has a shot at keeping Kawhi where they otherwise wouldn't have if they never traded for him. It's not a garauntee but gives you a leg up on the competition and built in advantages to be able to recruit them all year and offer the most money.
the other side of that is when the Knicks traded for Carmelo and gave up assets instead of just signing him in free agency, it can go both ways
Good bounce back win last night, Kuz has really stepped it up the last few games on D and as a playmaker. Perhaps he read my post in here, bulletin board material.
Harden getting 20 free throws is disgusting and pathetic for the NBA, but my god the missed laker free throws. There is no excuse for a bunch of guards to be so bad at free throws.
yea, not winning without LeBron is going to get Luke fired. Getting tired of hearing ESPN LA keep going over the schedule with this desperate plea of "we have to beat someone right?!?!"
He's done pretty good this year when he's had a full roster. Not his fault all his guys keep getting injured, front office made ill-fitting FA signings, Magic couldn't get the job done in getting another star to pair with LeBron, and that Ingram and Ball are both busts.
Lol at 21 year olds being labeled busts already. OK then. Seemed pretty non-busty tonight. If Magic has done anything wrong, it's hyping them up publicly that they'd be all stars out the gate. But not wrong for having faith in them or their development.
