this game is gonna have a tremendous second half Duke cuts the Yale lead to 5-4 with 4:58 to play in the first half Reeves and Guterding have both been quiet. That can't last too long edit, 6-4 at the half
Michigan is apparently hiring Harvard’s OC as its OC. I have no idea what to make of it but I’ll assume he’s the best in the country.
Utah joining Air Force and Denver as DI programs west of the MS River 2018-2019 is their first year as a varsity program. Pretty exciting https://www.deseretnews.com/article...ill-be-blown-away-by-division-i-lacrosse.html
Duke extended Danowski through 2023 Sounds like FSU is exploring the possibility of adding lacrosse https://www.collegecrosse.com/2018/...-women-s-soccer-acc-stan-wilcox-john-thrasher
Going to be a lot of even more grossly lopsided games than there already is in D3 once this trickles down there.
Lots of changes. The dive is back again https://www.insidelacrosse.com/arti...to-ncaa-men-s-lacrosse-the-dive-returns/52934
Sounds like from all the fall ball stuff I've heard either directly or third hand that the shot clock hasn't really changed much in way of game strategy thus far.
almost that time of year. scrimmage against air force here in 2 weeks and then i'll be back freezing my ass off outside in just over a month!
Interesting to see some D1 games are being played at high schools Though I'm sure these high schools are immaculate.
Thank god VT can play in our indoor football practice field. Still cold as it’s not heated or cooled, but way better than being outside. Last season they only played one game outside. Though this year they don’t think they’ll be allowed as much since they are getting a new video board at the outdoor field.
We have an inside field that we will use for the scrimmage in a couple weeks and used to play our first couple games in, but the past few years, as long as it's not snowing, they've played then outside almost regardless of temp (there was a game 4 or 5 years against UVA that got moved inside bc it was too cold and acc forced the move)
21-6 vermont. and we're officially off. awesome having utah as a d1 program. hopefully they can get it going pretty quickly and we can get more pac12 teams going
alright was moving/settling in the past couple weeks but officially ready to follow the spring slate of college sports preseason rankings below

Working my first game tomorrow and boy am I terrified of this new rule. Those "did he save it or did he not" or "was that post or net" calls are impossible and now they matter too much. Going to be a shitshow for refs early in the year
Holy shit. Colgate best Syracuse at the dome. Matt Karweck gets his first win as a head coach Could be a rough year for the acc based on the last couple days
https://www.uslaxmagazine.com/college/men/espn-announces-2019-college-lacrosse-television-schedule Hopkins @ Towson tomorrow UVA @ Loyola Air Force @ Denver
The coach at the school I just left said the SID hadn't gotten anyone hired of trained on the shot clock as of this morning. Their first game is tomorrow. Should be a grand shitshow there without me carrying the athletic department on my shoulders.
"Just don't think or watch the game. Press button if the ref does the spinny thing with his hands" would suffice
They get D3 refs. When I was there, we were just fortunate if they even knew the rules much less properly enforcing them.
what an unbelievable day of lacrosse so far. duke takes down denver with a buzzer-beating face-off/score. down goes #1 yale. #3 maryland taken to OT vs penn loyola beating the shit out of hopkins syracuse alabany coming up next notre dame hosts detroit to close out the night at 730 tonight
