The shutdown has been successful for Trump. No one is talking about Mueller or Russia and he knows that's the real long term threat. He's gonna try to milk this for everything he can.
Ehhh, there hasnt been a ton of Mueller news outside of today. Senate Rs are going to crack as they start to see their constituents are blaming Trump (and thus them) for this shutdown. McConnell is going to be hard pressed to keep it together as it stretches on. After he breaks on this, the Coulters and Limbaughs of the World will bitch about it and the fractures will be more visible to his dumbfuck supporters. All a month before Don Jr gets indicted by the FBI.
i don't agree. there hasn't been any serious news - things like the manafort leak today doesn't really register for someone who doesn't follow things day-to-day - and the longer there's no news, the less patience people would have and the less guilty turmp looks imo. honestly, the distraction probably helps mueller.
Things will intensify on Friday when impacted feds don’t get a paycheck, and stories start rolling out about people not being able to pay bills, eat, etc. Rs in the House will also start leaking over to support the various one off funding bills. Hard to see this going beyond late next week. But he’s not going to lose most of the base over this. Nothing can do that.
This is a very interesting theory and does not sound far fetched. I haven’t heard anyone thinking about it this way. Russians didn’t change votes. They removed voters from the rolls and had Trump campaign in those areas to make it look like his campaigning was causal to unexpected wins in those states.
Palmer is not the greatest source and the title is misleading click bait, but I think the theory is interesting. Manafort did not admit that for sure. This is trump. It’s hard to say anything is a stretch. Why did Manafort share the data?
If he’s a good American we’re setting the bar for good American very low, I will say he was a surprisingly capable and competent DAG.
I don’t know how to feel about Rosenstein. He did write the memo to give Trump cover for firing Comey.
He worked for Ken Starr, caped for Kavanaugh, and like you stated wrote the memo to cover for Trump firing Comey.
