I'm constantly amazed at the NFL always going with failed coaches over giving someone new a shot. With that said Broncos seemed to be the only legit option for Vic so i'm glad to get him back.

Biggest offseason accusation if true, everything is gravy now.

Sounds like he’s already picked the Bucs according to Arians.

No one is choosing a Tampa rebuilding project over the Bears right now.

Arians considers him a son I guess is what the article said.

If going the failed HC route I think Chuck Pagano would be a better option. Was a great secondary coach and did great with that Ravens D when he was DC and obvious knows the 3-4. Is the current rumor that Donatell is going with Vic to be his DC?

Gregg Williams being linked to the DC job.

Curious if we have a hire before monday's press conference

Also he runs a completely different system. I think its going to be Ed Dontatell.

They say he’s got 3-4 experience, could run either or. I’d rather pass on him now tho, can’t imagine the Bears taking a chance on him with his history either.

Maybe it’d complete the circle of life tho, lose Buddy Ryan who has his own bounty gate experience and then hire Gregg Williams who had bounty gate as well.

Pagano is a great hire. I’m not sure why anyone would be against it.

His track record as a DB coach is stellar and he was amazing as the Ravens DC. He failed miserably as a HC but luckily that’s not what we hired him for. He knows the 3-4 and I’d expect him to call a more aggressive defense. He won’t be able to scheme as well as Fangio because outside Belichick I don’t know if anyone could. Hopefully we can keep the as much of the other defensive staff in tact.

One positive. I doubt we see Khalil dropping 15 yards into coverage on 3rd down. Chuck will have them pinning their ears back and getting at it.

No way the Bears sign Hunt, the McCaskey’s will have the final say on that signing and it isn’t happening.

Looks like there is good chance both Rob Ryan and Ed Reed will be joining the Bears defensive staff. I like the moves. This defense is going to be balls to the wall attacking the QB next year.

Holy cow. Only concern I have is the film breakdown and game planning ability because I just don’t know enough about those coaches.

Rob is proven and comes from that Baltimore pipeline... I would imagine that Reed would replace Ed Donatell as DB coach

I think I read we have to wait till June 1 to cut Parkey but we better already have a contract lined up with Robbie.
