Fuck yes. Making tomorrow night. Thank you. I only do recipes that are super simple like that. Seriously anything more complicated or more ingredients than that and I am out. I'm not trying to pretend to be a gaddam chef.
the worst is spending a bunch of money on ingredients I’ll use once. And every time I finally think my spice cabinet is fully stocked a new recipe comes along and proves me wrong!
Had one of those self sabotaging keto dreams last night - I'm starting to think that's one of the first steps of entering Ketosis
Yesterday I didn't plug my meals into MFP until late at night because I was busy. My carbs were fine, but I noticed my protein and fat % were almost the same. Didn't realize yellowfin was that lean. Shouldn't be an issue for one day, right?
I only really track my carb and calorie intake and I’m further into ketosis than most so I’d say you’ll be fine
Finally in ketosis. Got ketosis breath real bad. Pee strip still shows “small traces”. Done with them. Down 7lbs now.
How often do you guys that do a 24 hour fast do them? I can’t remember if I asked or not. Once a week? Once a month? Etc.
how so? ive been using it forever and my game remains largely unchanged by it, its taste is pretty much identical to black pepper.
Once a week. I ate Tuesday 7pm and then again Thursday 8 am, however I took vitamins. Losing an entire day worth of calories is a huge boost to your weight loss. Especially if you’re pushing the weekly calorie limit. Ppl have trouble with weight-loss because of portion control, but Keto sort of regulates that for you.
i bought some yesterday and they are very good i'll get one of those boars head sopressata / provolone snacks, take a slice of each, and an olive, and eat them all at once.
In all seriousness until about a month ago I didn’t give a shit about how many carbs I took in. Tried to generally eat healthy but didn’t count macros or look at nutrition. Now I’m shocked at my old protein bars having 35g of sugar or my coffee having more. What a world! I’m not saying I enjoy Keto just yet, but it’s certainly eye opening and has been effective, which is the point.
Mad props to those doing it that don’t need weight loss, but if I was at my ideal weight, can’t say I would be avoiding carbs/sugars.
I feel great now and I plan on this being more or less a permanent thing when I'm not at sea, but once I get where I need to be I'll definitely incorporate cheat days every few weeks. Right now I haven't eaten in about 17 hours and I'm not even hungry. Shits wild. Going for dinner tonight to a steak place so I think I might just go ahead and make this a 24 hour fast until then.
I'm aware, but I'm looking to miss Wednesday's calorie intake. Tuesday and Thursday were full calorie days.
You mean go lower each day? I wanted to try an extended fast with added bonus of calorie loss (meaning not make up for it as many ppl on Reddit do).
yeah I mean it’s your prerogative but if you’re fasting because you’re worried about your calorie intake then it’d be easiest to just lower your intake. I’ve considered running more of a targeted keto diet (as opposed to a cyclical) in order to get more carbs in my system before working out but so far have decided against just to see how my body responds. My breakfast has 14 TOTAL carbs (not net) and am just using that for workout fuel As for the 16/8 IF - those work better if you’re more sedentary but I personally find them tough if you’re more active and need a higher overall calorie count. It’s tough for me to squeeze in 3,400 calories in 8 hours
Pickles are great. Cucumbers too. If I don’t have any Powerade zero I’ll eat a couple and some juice.
I see, no, not exactly. i'm just experimenting. wanted to see how fasting treated me. this is all fun to me. I'm an ex wannabe fitness guy (ran marathons, etc). I support fruit lol. I believe in balanced meals. I believe in calories in, calories out for weight loss. I prefer getting the weight off by any means necessary and then making the correct life choices (I haven't mastered sustaining that). Keto works perfectly for all this. not to mention gluten (and dairy, caffeine) kills me.
I just got a bun less burger with bacon and onions. I seriously think they used an entire onion. Just a mound of onions, couldn’t even see what was underneath. I probably ate 1/5 of them.
Yea I limit them. This was just absurd though. It was like a softball sized portion of grilled onions.
