I guess Nana was sick this week + missed practice/prep. Harris has had mono so he was limited. That’s why we didn’t sub. Have to imagine it’s tough to sub Borchardt or Heimann in down low when the games tight in the 2nd half and we needed every minute we got from Roby. Miles claims the ACs talked him out of subbing TB in at times. I guess with all that considered I guess the lack of subs in the 2nd half isn’t a total debacle.
Hey. Let’s just celebrate that we beat the worst team in the league at home thanks to some shitty ass Penn Play towards the end.
Wins a win and I’ll take it. Don’t care that it was against Penn State and it was ugly. Roby needs to take the team over. He’s the best player on the court, now he just needs to believe it game in and game out. GBR
I know Glynn gets shit on a lot but I’d take his performance last night every game too. Especially when JPJ is laying bricks. Watson 8/16 FG, 3/6 3PT, 19 points with 3 assists, 4 defensive boards, and only one TO. Obviously 16 shots is a lot for GW (or anyone) but if you make 50% of them whatever I guess. Especially on a night when JPJ is 3/12 and IC is 4/10
The rebounding stats are just terrible though. Six total offensive boards (shot 49% though), Roby had five of them. Defensive boards 26 total, Roby and Allen led the team with six. Allen is like 5’11.
From a depth standpoint yes. BUT as much as I will say miles is a woat in game coach, it wasn’t completely his fault last night is what I meant.
Got a decent list of visitors coming in this weekend. https://247sports.com/Player/Soni-Fonua-46079054/ - Vaha’s cousin https://247sports.com/Player/Charles-Njoku-46038824/ https://247sports.com/Player/Steven-Parker-46041207/ https://247sports.com/player/dj-james-46038064/
I'm generally a pretty big Miles apologist but the one constant through 7 years (aside from stretches of offense that looks like a midget fucking a football, is that PC, little person fucking a football just doesn't have the same ring to it) is the consistent inability to rebound. Part of that is not signing a decent big man and part is just want to. For some reason his teams have never had the intestinal fortitude to be good at rebounding and it's as big of a reason as any for not taking the next step.
On top of all that (which I agree with) as a whole the roster manages to consistently have worse hands than Frantz Hardy (not Miles fault here imo). If you’re small, you’ll get out rebounded sure. That said when you have a chance to get one, make the play.
1. #firetimmiles 2. Darrion Daniels getting his ass kicked by our S&C program at least makes me feel like we’re in better hands than our last staff or at minimum better than Gundy’s staff.
Do we have any big men coming in next year for basketball? 6'8 and 6'9 (with shoes) for our centers is nothing.
Tryna start a debate on RSS about food but seems thus far they are comfortable with GBR food being sub par
I wish I knew. If looking at what the staff is trying to bring in and what we currently have ‘mitted, you’d think DJ James the CB and Steven Parker the OLB would be ideal. I personally would like Njoku as there is literally no one like him in the roster. For whatever reason, the staff seems to prioritizes length at every dangum position except WR... Long story short... all the ‘mits
Donte getting in dj james's ear trying to convince him to come not be coached at all at oregon. So he's definitely gone
I've never been a big fan of basketball. Just a follower of the fuck us-ness. But watching this video I now understand why basketball was so popular before refs started deciding games. FYI at 0:49 he underhand passes a ball to the wolf. That's insane. This I would watch every fuckin second of.
Pistol Pete has to be one of the players I most wish I could have seen. His style of play was decades ahead of his time, dude was the Steph Curry of the 60s and 70s.
God bless Munson's "Getting To Know" series where he asks all of our signees the exact same questions. Like asking Garrett Nelson if the Nebraska weather had any bearing on his decision
Currently at the clippers / pistons game in tickets received via a player because my buddy’s dad lives next to a clipper (in Atlanta). Then later I’m meeting my GF to sit in the Spectrum Box for penguins vs kings. Currently about 100 oz of beer deep and like 10 hours to go. Wish me luck. I’m watching rams/cowboys between staples center events
I just like reading three of the questions. where they would have gone if not nebraska, did anyone negatively recruit them and what number they will wear.
