Was the new one good? No. Was it watchable with the kids and enjoyable enough? Yes Movie is not as bad as most make it out to be.
My biggest issue with it (besides Kristen Wiig playing to type) was the use of CGI. It just falls flat and it’ll be the same with this one. The original’s charm was its use of practical effects.
Nothing is as bad(pop culture and food-wise) as social media wants you to believe. People desperately try and one-up each other in some kind of hyperbole competition.
Ocean’s Eight was actually well done and really entertaining but people still somehow lost their shit over the lack of respect for the, umm, 2001 remake
While I generally agree with you, the Dexter series finale really was as bad as social media wants me to believe.
Probably worse But that’s a rare circumstance. Overall it’s like Sweet Lou Holtz likes to say, it’s never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems
I think his appearance in that movie led to the direction they took Ragnarok, which basically turned Thor into the best Avenger.
It's probably been over 20 years since I've seen a Ghostbusters movie, but I'd be down for a re-boot if they approached it in similar way Nolan/Batman did.
I want it to be more like a hard R horror movie. Like they're going after Freddy Krueger or Candyman or the girl from the Exorcist. And instead of Bill Murray, we'll get like John Malkovich or Liam Neeson. This is solid gold.
Reitman directed S4ep5 of The Office, Local Ad. I will now watch this episode and pass judgment on the future of this project.
Limitless paper, in a paperless world. Episode delivered. Godspeed, unmakes Ghostbusters sequel. Godspeed.
I tried to watch this the other day but I could only buy it not rent it, does Debbie Ocean have relation to Danny or is it just a reboot? Either way looked fun
If they can get Moranis out of retirement for it, presumably filling Ramis' spot (RIPIP), sign me up.
estranged sister was a fun watch, caught it on a plane but i'll rewatch the Oceans movies endlessly as background noise
The new one was very bad. It took a lot of really good comedic actors and made a comedy movie with no laughs. It's impressive for that feat but otherwise was just awful. Ocean's 8 was entertaining. Sandra Bullock's face looks weird though.
Wrong! No shit, but across the street from our elementary school was a big farm plot. In the barn was an Ecto-1 replica.
The Ghostbusters remake was fine, but it was a completely different take in the comedy sense. The new GB was far more slap stick and modern day popular humor, while the original GB was more dry and serious. Which is why my favorite GB scene is this one
