It sounds exactly like what you’d expect to hear from a caricature of an old envious out of touch establishment dem
Re: the buzzfeed article... 1. Do we know if Mueller's questions to Trump (and Trump's response) addressed this specific topic? And is that response sworn testimony that could result in perjury? 2. Don Jr and Ivanka are both implicated, and Jr has sworn testimony that can be used against him. Don't think Ivanka will face time, but this should lead to jail time for Jr (outside of a pardon) right?
Nobody will want that anchor on their chances. His terrible legislative record on holding Russia accountable is enough to make him toxic in his environment. And the sexual abuse revelations regarding his 2016 campaign would be close behind. And voters don’t want another raving lunatic that can’t control his/her emotions. It’s all over but the crying for Bernie. He’s not going to be the nom or VP.
How on earth can you say she’s not effective. When was the last time that the country has discussed getting tax rates back to pre-Reagan days? She was the instigator. She was effective. It starts with a discussion. The American public is on board with it, now it’s up to them to vote out the representatives that don’t represent them.
That’s because he was seen as just another Vermont hippie, and nobody took them seriously back in the day.
We both know Trump would never let his kids go to jail. Unfortunately his supporters are convinced this is a dem coup tactic. Even if we had Trump on tape admitting to it 85% of his supporters would probably claim its doctored. Best we can hope for is enough GOPers trying to get Trump off the ticket in ‘20. I’m not holding my breath, but there’s no way the Senate will remove him. Impeahcment is a political process, not a legal one.
He would definitely do that. He’d sell out Barron if he felt that could help him. Narcissists aren’t capable of falling on the sword.
a lot of bad posts were made tonight. i'm sure lots of people will say this one is one of them. i think an underlooked one is the shameless like-whoring one made in posting a bernie tweet as he spams his greatest hits. today, it's, "oh man income equality is out of control." what a perfect viral tweet to distract everyone from him not voting in support of the deripaska sanctions. he played another hit - "pharmaceutical prices are too high!" - the same day he issued a statement related to the sexual harassment and bias with his campaign. that staement came more than a week after the NYT article and obviously much later than when the issues were brought to him. wonder when he'll bother addressing that russia was working to promote him and his campaign; it wasn't just jill stein. maybe when he announces he's running? go bernie
He did, a year ago “Let there be no confusion about my view. What the Russians did in the 2016 election cycle deserves unconditional condemnation. That includes all of their conduct — whether it was active support of any candidate or active opposition to any candidate or the decision to not go after a candidate as a way of hurting or helping another campaign. This is true of any of the 2016 campaigns, including those of Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or my own. As someone who campaigned hard for Secretary Clinton from one end of this country to another, it is an outrage that she had to run against not only Donald Trump but also the Russian government. All Americans rightly expected and deserved a fair election free of foreign governmental intervention. The key issues now are two: how we prevent the unwitting manipulation of the electoral and political system of our country by foreign governments; and exposing who was actively consorting with the Russian government’s attack on our democracy.” https://berniesanders.com/press-rel...ussian-government-interference-u-s-elections/
What a complete and utter load of horse shit First of all the sexual harrassment issues were rampant throughout all levels of the 2016 election season both state and federal including on Hillary's campaign. This doesn't excuse them but this is not a problem unique to only Bernie's campaign. Women On Clinton And Sanders Campaigns Allege Sexual Harassment Democratic 2020 Presidential Campaigns Are Finally Taking Sexual Harassment Seriously Second of all you clearly you didn't even read the new york times article because while there was clearly harrassment none the allegations suggest that Sanders even knew about it them much less had anything to do with them. Pay disparity: According to the article. Some women were being paid less then men due to employees negotiating their own salary but when they became aware of this they conducted a review and standardized pay Harrassment allegations: An outreach strategist was harrassed by surrogate and when she reported it to her campaign supervisor and national field director and they did not take her complaints seriously. So again not denying that there were shitty people in the campaign but none of that suggest negligence or wrong doing on Sanders part. In fact these are the actions they took and polices they had in place according to his committee: The women cited in the article along with other women that faced sexual misconduct and felt they weren't addressed wanted to personally meet with Sanders to discuss these issues from the 2016 campaign and he obliged. So yes the dude with most pro-woman voting record for the last 30 years is somehow a sexist pig that doesn't care about women All of these excerpts are pulled from that Times article: LINK Now lets get to your Russia bullshit. Never even brought up Russia interfering the election. Oh wait And oh he didn't the vote in support of the Russia sanctions? I wonder what happened there Link So look at that. He missed a vote that wasn't going to pass anyway because he was having the very same meeting with the women that had sexual misconduct issues within the campaign and requested to meet with him. But wait maybe he's still a russian stooge: Sanders Introduces Resolution to Protect American Democracy from Russian Meddling Oh no thats bullshit too. So yes on a night full of terrible posts you sure came in in the clutch to try to secure the crown. Next time do a little bit of research before you come spouting this bullshit. Thanks.
So Trump basically nominated Barr for AG because of that 19 page memo he sent to DOJ and did zero follow up or vetting What an idiot
This is my last post on this subject. I get the frustration and think you guys are good dudes. But just take another look at this article from last week to try and understand the point myself and a few others are making. We’re not pulling it out of thin air. https://www.politico.com/story/2019/01/11/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-democrats-establisment-1093728 Some key quotes: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already making enemies in the House Democratic Caucus... Others simultaneously warn Ocasio-Cortez is destined for a lonely, ineffectual career in Congress if she continues to treat her own party as the enemy. “I’m sure Ms. Cortez means well, but there’s almost an outstanding rule: Don’t attack your own people,” said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.). “We don’t need sniping in our Democratic Caucus.” Incumbent Democrats are most annoyed by Ocasio-Cortez’s threat to back primary opponents against members of their ranks she deems too moderate. But their frustration goes beyond that: Democratic leaders are upset that she railed against their new set of House rules on Twitter the first week of the new Congress. Rank and file are peeved that there’s a grassroots movement to try to win her a top committee post they feel she doesn’t deserve. Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.) is playing a key role. Like Ocasio-Cortez, Velázquez knocked off a longtime Democratic incumbent to win her seat, and they share Puerto Rican roots. In private conversations with Ocasio-Cortez over the past few months, Velázquez counseled Ocasio-Cortez against targeting her Democratic colleagues in future elections. The two had a “long, long conversation” about the dynamics of Congress and Washington, and how there shouldn’t be a “litmus test” for every district. But there are signs that she’s getting the message, at least when it comes to backing primary challenges against her colleagues. In a brief exchange off the House floor recently, she said she wasn’t interested in backing progressive candidates against incumbent Democrats — contradicting her own words after the midterms. House Democrats were also unhappy when she made a play for a seat on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Critics inside the caucus felt she didn’t deserve it, given her lack of professional experience on tax issues and her status as a freshman.“It totally pissed off everyone,” said one senior House Democratic lawmaker of the campaign. “You don’t get picked for committees by who your grass-roots [supporters] are.” We all love AOC, and assuming she doesn’t let fame go to her head, she’s going to play an important role in the future. But in the meantime she’s still got to navigate a Congress full of jealous, vain people...
The guy schemed with his siblings to fuck his dying father out of hundreds of millions of dollars- the ONLY kids he cares about are Jr and Ivanka, and that’s knly because he shares a name with one and wants to fuck the other.
I think you are misunderstanding our point. No one is accusing you of making shit up or that there aren't dems angry about her threatening to primary them. We're just saying those people can fuck off. The threat of primary is the best weapon we have to make sure they do their job.
Yeah, I don’t care about any of that. If the Dems were that good at what they were doing AOC wouldn’t even be a thing.
For real. I think American may benefit by getting rid of the cock suckers whether they are Democrats or Republicans. A lot of trash in DC.
Admittedly, I haven't thought this through enough to deeply reflect on what the potential ramifications would be, but in light of there being no end in sight what if the Dems introduced a bill protecting the jobs of any affected government employee who resigns while the shutdown persists, granting them automatic reinstatement once the government opens and restoring their accrued time towards pension for that period? That would free up affected employees to go out and get paying jobs, if possible, and have no negative repercussions for dipping out to take care of their families? Let McConnell and Trump taking the heat for either failing to present the bill to the Senate or vetoing it to prove to all that they explicitly want to hurt the working man.
people getting upset about Dems getting primaried is dumb, incumbency advantage doesn't really exist anymore so who cares if you're just a "we need as many Dems as possible for power" type
Dude, if you keep clutching those pearls so hard, eventually the string is going to break and they'll all fall to the ground. You've seen movies.
“Saint Bernie, who voted against Russia sanctions and the Magnitsky Act, missed the vote to prevent lifting of Russia sanctions because he used that time, which was the only time available of course, to finally meet with women who experienced sexual abuse and harassment and unfair treatment during his failed presidential campaign. Bernie 2020!”
My buddy and I were talking about how long it was going to take for GOP pundits and Fox News to say this was Meuller's perjury trap? Have a friend write a memo bashing the probe to get on Trump's radar then turn on him. That would be Bash at the Beach 96 level heel turn. Edit: fsugrad99
