Also a once in a lifetime opportunity for the Saints to win the Super Bowl in Atlanta blown, Just sickening.
Again, play call was fine. Execution was poor. He literally threw it into the ground. Too many people call plays bad because they aren’t executed. If guys are open, and a QB misses the throw, or the RB misses the hole, it’s not a bad call, it’s piss poor execution.
Win the Super Bowl next year and Brees retires. 2-14 in 2020 and get the first pick and draft Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 draft.
Brees makes that throw 9 out of 10 times. He was off today. That didn’t cost the Saints the game. For once, ONE play did actually cost a team, but it wasn’t their fault. The refs blew this game.
Nope. The refs cheated us. What are the Rams players supposed to do? Give away their golden goose egg and admit to PI or purposefully throw the game after that gift? Fuck the Patriots forever and always.
dont think im even gonna watch tbqh. Worked out just fine for me with the CFB NCG. Been a great but a rough season for me as a football fan
Welp. We should be a top 3 team in the NFC again next year to start the year and have a good chance at making another run
Gonna all hinge on he we replace Brees with after this next season. We get a solid QB then the train gonna keep rolling. Hard to replace a top 5ish all time QB though. If we get stuck in that can’t find a good QB cycle then we could be fucked
The only way the ref didn't see that call was because he didn't want to. I was on the complete opposite side of the dome and it was clear as day. That's all I have to say about that.
The two refs that were closest ... one played for the rams in the 80s and the other currently lives in LA
what’s his name? I just gave my mom a hard time about her generation falling for everything that gets posted on Facebook when she told me the same thing. Maybe I owe her an apology. Or maybe you are as gullible as my mom
I don't think I'm watching the Super Bowl. I was going to if the Chiefs could have pulled it out, but of course the Patriots won on bullshit like they always do. Both teams in this game are just repugnant.
Im not convinced it wasnt blatant cheating but i feel its the most plausible explanation at this point. DPI really doesnt get more clear than this
“Those in New Orleans largely had no interest in Super Bowl LIII, earning a 26.1 rating, which was the lowest of any measured market.” SB tv ratings, hugely shocking NO didn’t tune in
Not in the NO market but I didn't watch a lick. I rarely do of any NFL games that aren't Saints games anyway.
So we're obviously going for broke again next year. Top needs this offseason? #2 WR TE some DL/LB depth would be nice. OL depth. Can never go wrong with a #2/3 corner
2/3 corner - I'm good with our corners if they all stay healthy. PRob in the slot. Lattimore / Apple outside. PJ the dime back. # 2 WR / TE, and a little more OL depth. I really wish we could've kept Kelemente last year. I say we go for broke - let's just mortgage the future completely and make a 2-year run.
Use a 2nd on one of the very good WR’s that there are in this draft and then just try to hit a few with the 5th-7th round picks we have to create some depth. Better enjoy next year because I think it’ll be the last year we are a contender for a while, unless we can land a QB in FA
I was pleasantly surprised with Apple down the stretch. He wasn't great, but played alright. If Lattimore can play like a shutdown guy we don't need Apple to be great. Our safeties are really good, too. We're leveraged to the fucking gills and our cap situation is one of the worst in the league. Kick the can down the road one more year. 2nd half of the season showed we really need OL depth, but not many teams can survive losing 2-3 starters. Desperately need a playmaking pass-catcher
I don't think our cap situation is *that* bad - we will cut Coleman, and Meredith and save 7.75 there.... that gets us to 15 or so. I have to imagine Loomis will do some trickery he always does to come up with another 10 or so. I assume we'll need some DT help as well, have to assume Rankins will be out for most, if not all of the season.
It's just talking heads, but I've seen a lot of chatter that it will be tough to keep Ingram. That one will hurt, he compliments Kamara so well. ESPN says we should trade up for Kyler Murray. lolwrongnumber
I don’t like Murray. If you don’t want to pay Ingram that’s fine but I don’t understand paying that much for a downgraded back IMO
Murray cheaper than Ingram and will do fine as an offset to Kamara who will get more touches now. Increase Kamara’s Workload and work those extra funds elsewhere I like the deal.
Going to miss Ingram, glad he was able to get paid and I get why we didn’t pay him that. Murray will be fine. We’re also really good at just finding bruiser backs.
