Forgive me, he’s a junior. Felt like I had heard Senior somewhere. He has his moments where he will key an 8-0 run with hustle but it’s painfully obvious how our offense generally grinds to a halt in his minutes. Reminds me a lot of Quentin Thomas when he backed up Lawson. Part of it is who he is replacing on the court and part of it is maddening mental errors that an upper classmen back up has to be relied on to not make.

someone started a thread asking if coby is the best guard roy has ever had which is a doozy of a take. i think you can definitely argue he's the best freshman guard but don't think he's at the level of 09 ty lawson, 2012 kendall, 2014 marcus, 2005 ray also i am very happy that i was wrong with my doubts about coby being a true pg. thought he was more suited to play the 2 (although if we get cole, he very well might) but he's really good and roy was right again
Had to bite my tongue on the guy arguing Lawson wasn't able to get to the rim his freshman year, don't enjoy getting into arguments on that site. Coby's definitely the most talented scoring pg Roy's had at UNC, and the thing that makes next year's potential backcourt so damn exciting is both guys can essentially be interchangeable while out there together, I'd imagine Cole would officially be the "1" though.
It’s gonna be a battle. Porter Rooks is recruiting him hard and we managed to keep our WR coach as opposed to any other position so that helps. But Mack is gonna get some dudes.
early results with dre on staff are very promising. one of the hundred or so fuck ups larry had was not putting him on staff
mentioned in another thread but man jalek really fucked us. jeremiah francis too although clearly not his fault. very happy we got coby over dotson but if roy had known about the issues with jalek/jeremiah, i think he takes both. pg is super shaky next year if we lose coby and miss on cole. and the year after that with a sophomore francis is not ideal either

i love roy but i really think he's gonna absolutely bungle this class. only offering kessler for 2020 and not 2019 seems extremely dumb and stubborn. glad his parents like the loyalty aspect but i think it'll cost us. maybe he knows something about hurt but i dont get it. we offered zeke nnaji a scholarship for this class so no idea why kessler wouldnt have a spot
I've pretty much stopped following recruiting, just gonna close my eyes and have the blind faith that we eventually end up at our destination
