Soup and I were talking about this and he made a great point that reaching and diving into every detail is what makes a show like this great. Finding out 80% of the bullshit you think it may be actually isn't also makes it great.
Ali and Dorff are crushing it. All on board with the story and cinematography too. During ep.2 I fielded 5-6 questions about something that clearly just happened on screen before getting hit by, “hey can you pause this, I want to show you a video of Miley Cyrus covering Chris Cornell, I hear it’s really good.” I turned the tv off and took the dogs outside to potty in a fit of rage. Polished off eps. 2 and 3 by myself so I don’t turn into an inspiration for season 4.

Spoiler Could be. They’ve certainly gone out of their way to make her seem sketchy. I think it’s a false trail they’re leading us down though. I bet in later episodes they show her trying to expose the 1990 cover up. Although I wonder if she knows about some shady stuff going on around town from being a teacher and she is holding back. I’d be shocked if she’s directly involved though, seems they’ve been too heavy handed for that.

Also I think they showed a black guy changing a church sign I think and focused in on him early in the episode. If he’s the guy with the bad eye that they’re looking for, that’d be very season 1 of them for him to end up being involved He also fits the being involved w the church deal
